    Boy oh boy Dane you are starting to sound like some of those disrespectful soccer players I used to coach back in the day when you were about 13 years old. There is no doubt that I am right now eating crow about the situation at Jay County when it comes to questioning authority. I admit that! But did that high dollar Butler education teach you to really question authority? Would mom and dad Fuelling have been happy if you questioned their authority? Say they told your curfew is 10:oopm. You think it is ok to argue that you think it should have been midnight? Should your students question you? Say you assign them to do 40 math questions. Should they argue with you that they think they should do 30? I am not saying that you can't disagree with authority. However, in most situations, questioning authority results in a lose lose situation.

    So what you are saying is if a couple of 18 or 19 year olds slapped one of your kids around you would tell your child to "suck it up and be tough." Good luck with the twins mom... Hope you don't also teach them that it is ok to retaliate when they are being picked on too.

    It bothers me that grown adults on this site are not backing the administrators and parents in this situation. Everyday I deal with both adults and teenagers who feel like the system screwed them over. It was somebody else's fault. Even as they are being taken to jail and/or prison, they can't admit that they did something wrong. Then I see letters they write asking for another chance. All the while still not taking acceptance for their actions. Regardless of what happened here. Agree or disagree with the situaton. Agree or disagree with the decision of the administrators. We as adults have to teach our children that they have to accept the decision of authority figures. Don't make excuses. Don't blame someone else. Say you are sorry and accept the consequence. Like it or not. Some day you will have a boss that makes a decision for you. Maybe you don't agree with it. You can either accept it or start collecting unemployment. That is life. Would it have been worse if the parents called the police and pressed charges for battery? Maybe the kids would have still gotten to wrestle then. Telling a middle school wrestler to go out for cheerleading because he got smacked on the back by a high school kid who may have been 100lbs bigger than him is about as dumb as smacking a younger kid on the back. Encouragement is great! Being a role model is great. Smacking a kid who is probably just getting his feet wet in a very difficult sport is an act of poor judgement.

    I was not at the meet yesterday. I was listening to the finals on the Adams County radio station. Granted these are both former Bellmont wrestlers calling the match. But, it sounded like Faurote hit a "Lewis" and had Norton on his back at the end of the match. However, no points were awarded. Norton did win. But I do not believe it sounded like it was in dominant fashion by any means. Someone feel free to correct me if you were there and I am wrong!!!

    I am going to go out on a limb and say that top 3 will be Bellmont, South Adams, and Adams Central.

    Yorktown has really worked hard over the past several years to get where they are. This team is the real deal. The kids and coaches deserve much credit.

    What's next? Instead of letting them do their own celebration by doing a backflip or flexing their muscles, maybe we should hand them a mic and tell them to sing their school song. That would really show school spirit.

    Hey Jim, What state tourney are you watching? How in the world do you have 28 more matches than everyone else? TyandKy, it will be interesting to see how our final results compare to each other.

    I don't know if anyone else is keeping track like I am or not... It looks like overall (not counting consolations) I am 150-46. I went 14-14 in the semis. I still have 9 possible champs alive. How is everyone else doing?

    Well I finished 42-14 in the 2nd round. I now have 4 2nds and 1 champ out.

    I am no computer whiz... But I wonder if this has anything to do with the number of people watching. That would make sense as to why it got better as the night went on. More people giving up and turning it off as the night went on would equal less people watching which led to faster buffering. Perhaps Broadcastsports needs to upgrade their equipment.
