  12. McMurray v. Mosier would be the better match. All 3 are extremely tough and talented wrestlers who have a shot at winning the state title.

  15. http://www.thestarpress.com/article/20090109/HSSPORTS/901090344 The Muncie Starpress By MICHAEL CASAGRANDE mcasagrande@muncie.gannett.com January 9, 2009 GASTON -- The face-off before the championship matches told the tale. The parade of 14 green jackets spelled out Yorktown's dominance before it was final. With every Tiger qualifying for the championship round, the final matches were just formalities as Yorktown cruised to its 13th Delaware County wrestling tournament title in the past 14 years Thursday at Wes-Del. Of the 14 Tigers who qualified for the final round, 11 won championships with eight of those by pin. Delta finished 1491/2 points behind in second place followed by Daleville, Wes-Del and Wapahani. Any hope of sweeping every weight class title for Yorktown came to an early end when Wes-Del's Dustin Shaw beat Tiger Brock Bevans in an 8-4 decision in the 103-pound weight class. Wapahani's Clayton Harry earned by far the most thrilling victory of the tournament in the 135-pound division. Trailing Yorktown's Josh Rench 3-0 in the final seconds, Harry flipped his opponent onto his back for a two-point reversal. The referee counted off two quick back points just as the buzzer sounded to give the Raider a 4-3 win. Getting one of the three wins over a Yorktown wrestler was important, Harry said, because the program is such a "juggernaut." Delta's Evan Dely got the other non-Tiger win with a pin in the 189-pound division to beat Yorktown's Brennon Burke. Other than that, it was all Tigers. Of the eight pins, three came in the first period. Derek Bevans got the quickest pin by one second by winning the 125-pound championship in 39 seconds. Teammate Cody Harper won the 145-pound title in 40 seconds and Purdue signee Kyle Mosier took the 160-pound crown in 52 seconds. That was nothing new for Mosier, the No. 3 wrestler in the state in the 152-pound weight class. At 21-0 for the season, only two of his wins lasted more than one period. "My coaches were telling me 'just show your dominance by getting it done quick," said Mosier of his fourth county championship. Yorktown's Devon Jackson earned one of the more impressive wins in the 112-pound division with a pin of Delta's Steve Gonzales. Last season, it was Gonzales who prevented Yorktown from sweeping the county tournament. Austin Dent didn't have to work too hard for his 140-pound title. He was the only entrant in his weight class so the Tiger was crowned the champion without breaking a sweat. The busy week for Yorktown continues Saturday when its travels to the Franklin (Ind.) Invitational. A number of ranked teams from Indiana and Michigan will compete in the Franklin meet. Contact sports writer Michael Casagrande at 213-5807.
  16. Ethics come into play only when you answer the question "Why you held your child back?" It also depends on a persons definition of ethics. Is the parent doing what is best for their child in helping them lead a successful life, or are tey being selfish and focusing on a sport? That is for the parents to decide. Holding students back in middle school however, especially if they have decent to good grades, will raise some red flags. Waiting to start kindergarten is common.
