    hey everyone, we have decided to make the rankings page a little cooler than it is right now. i'm not sure how many of you have ever seen intermat's division 1 rankings, but pretty much there is a tab for every weight class, and u click on which weight class you'd like to see, and then a picture of the #1 ranked wrestler comes up with the rankings underneath the #1 ranked wrestler's photo. we are going to imitate this format. i need your help in sending me photos of the #1 ranked wrestlers in their HIGH SCHOOL singlets, (action photos are preferable). please send the following photos to admin@indianamat.com Nathan Boston, Ethan Raley, Chad Welch, and Daniel Meyer.

    He's got no quality wins, and his only state qualification was out of the Fort Wayne Semi-State in a weight class in which all 4 of Fort Wayne's qualifiers were smoked on Friday night at Conseco. I don't believe he is better than any of the top 16 ranked kids.

    I don't know that I would necessarily agree that placing top 8 makes you good enough to go to state, but finishing in the top 3 or 4 at this tournament definitely means that you should be at Conseco in February.

    Due to something I overlooked at 103, as well as a very noteable result at 215, I've re-updated those weight classes as of 5:40pm Eastern. Thanks to those of you who pointed out those mistakes to me via private message.

    We've thought about adding this, but due to the fact that I often update the rankings multiple times a week, it makes it hard to keep track. We've considered the idea of archiving the rankings every sunday to give people the opportunity to look back in time so to speak and see what has changed, but to this point, its just been too hard to do. It is definitely a good idea though and something we will look into more for next season. By the way b_easy, call me up sometime over Christmas break, I haven't seen you in forever! Let's get together for a few drinks.

    I disagree... thus far, Knura only beat an 8th ranked wrestler by 2 points, as well as only beating an unranked freshman by 6.. Boston, on the other hand, in what was a similar matchup for him against 9th ranked Marciano, won by 12 points, as well as tech-falling 3 top 25 kids and pinning another one.

    According to Coach Struck's Jeffersonville results in the Results Page, Alonzo Shepherd went 5-0 at 112....

    125 admittedly was my toughest weight class to rank and the weight that I feel least confident about. The Binion tech fall of Kief really makes this weight interesting. This weight should clear up like most of the others in the next week or so, and until then, I'm going to leave it as is.

    Did this match happen at 103 or 112? Is Shepherd dropping to 103 or was it Boomsma that bumped up to 112? Boston moved above Boomsma because of his ridiculously dominating weekend at the Traicoff, beating 3 kids in the top 25 by 12 pts or greater all while going 5-0.

    I would love to come help seed the Marion County Tournament but will be not be back in the state until Wednesday morning..

    Is this because of an admission of ignorance? Or just an overall bad idea?

    My best guess is ignorance to the head to head match-ups. This is why I feel that it's so important to have an unbiased 3rd party in attendance who has a greater knowledge of the results from around the state in order to properly seed these large tournaments like Connersville and the Al Smith.
