  1. Mendoza up went up to 126 to wrestle the #1 ranked Illinois 120 pounder ,Massey Odiotti. He didn’t wrestle Davino. Sorry for the confusion.
  2. Colin Kelly is back for MC. Hopefully we see the rematch with Cody as that was the best match of the meet last year. Last weekend MC's 113 pounder ,Seth Mendoza , chased down the #1 Illinois ranked 126 pounder and beat him 13-5. Will he do it again to face Indiana's #1 ranked Logan Frazier? Sounds like Sergio Lemley may be back in the line up tonight. Does MC spare him the weight cut and let him wrestle up at 152? Lemley vs Rinehart, Sergio would be giving up a lot of size but we know how fearless he is. There is potential for some colossal matchups tonight. I hope the coaches get creative and let the fur fly.
  3. Great kid from a great family. I wish him the best. Congratulations Isaac!

  5. Nice job Ty! I really enjoy reading your write-ups.
  6. I love to see communities supporting high school athletes, especially wrestlers. The town of Chesterton has a great history of doing this. I’d love to see how other communities are celebrating their wrestlers. Please post pics for all of us to enjoy as we head into the state series.
  7. The 138 lbs. bracket at Crown Point Sectionals has #1 Mendez and #2 Solomey. What are some other tough sectional brackets out there?

  13. In almost all cases I will be rooting for the Indiana guy. All but 5 of these wrestlers, on both teams, practiced together in the RWA room this whole summer. I’ve witnessed a lot of these matches already, on multiple occasions, this passed summer. That being said, sometimes kids compete with a different intensity than they practice with. The coaching staff on both teams are very familiar with the other teams wrestlers. It will interesting to see what adjustments the coaches will make. This will be a great meet.
  14. This is how I see it going down on Friday. 15. What is your pick for toughest weight class? Who will get national attention and get into the national rankings? I'm most excited to see 152. I think Sam will crack the national rankings

  21. Let’s just go full Kumite or Thunderdome.
  22. They should change the name of Semi-State to State and change State to Super-State. That way we will have 4 State Champs for each weight class and 1 Super-State Champ. Lol.
