Open discussion is good , sometimes we may feel slighted , angry or irritated. But coming to a reasonable resolution is the ultimate goal - many of us are very angry and feel slighted , but we want a solution and realize if we had made it to the meeting these feelings wouldn't be there as we would have got our date. Where many of our frustrations come up is with the process - going to a meeting is more important than actually having a tournament sanctioned for our sport - everyone else went so we are expected to go or nobody would go. I get it - tournaments would be like the Wild West with dates - doesn't mean we aren't upset , feel the Iswa is being ridiculous ; just as they feel we are being ridiculous and giving them bad pub for not following the rules in their eyes we are the problem , in ours and many others those rules are the problem - Joe is asking what rule states we can't have it if we didn't attend the meeting - as he sees it and many others do it's not a rule - it's an f"u I'm not giving it to you because you didn't show. So now it turns into a pissing match and the ONLY people getting anything out of it is the additional insurance company we had to hire on top of the club charter insurance we carry. Like I said earlier - I will be at the meeting smiling and happy planning on asking for our date again.
Then again I kinda like being the renegade and I might just not show and start this all over next year !
