  1. I'm talking about the numbers. A lot of posts are about having more success means more people want to come out to wrestle. I'm saying that at small schools there's hardly anyone available to come out.
  2. How does increasing quantity improve quality? It's not like small schools have a stud just doing nothing in the winter. Most students are involved in other activities or work.
  3. That's how South Adams was few years ago but now we're struggling to fill a lineup. Even though we had success, no one cared enough to come out.
  4. That's the best way to put it. Excellent post.
  5. Its also not all about wrestling. Wrestlers choose schools for majors as well. Chad Red may be recruited by Penn State but might pick Manchester if he wants to be an accounting major. There's also just preferences to certain schools. Riley Lefever could be a starter at Purdue but chose to wrestle with his brothers at Wabash.
  6. I guess I'm looking at this more through the Millers who know they can compete with the big boys and could place or win in an unclassed tournament.
  7. I saw it and yeah South Adams could have state champs, but they would win not facing the very best. That seems kind of like an empty win to me.
  8. The way I see it, classed gives kids that would be semi state level guys state placers and champions. A classed system just gives them those honors. And if there's an exceptionally good 1A wrestler, then he won't compete against the very best to win a title. And multiple state titles would ruin the mystique of our awesome state finals.
  9. Sawyer hasn't wrestled any of the top 5 ranked 120s but he's teched or majored 3 state ranked wrestlers. He also has a good win versus Hatch. He's been on a mission this postseason and I would not be surprised to see him get a state title.
  10. Either my phones broken and it was randomly not there before or Y2s trolling me
  11. He's got to get through Oglesby and that's a tough matchup. I wouldn't call either heavyweight a lock.
  12. It was a rough post with a lot of buttons accidentaly hit
  13. Berne Tri Weekly does a webcast of the Fort Wayne semi state and I think I saw that New Castke will be live streaming from trackwrestling
  14. 106- Hunt, Miller, Streeter, Davis 113- Pepple, Glougoski, Mockenstrum, Mosser 120- Miller, Loraine, Langeloh, Cauffman 126- Gunsett, Weimer, Doster, Hiestand 132- Knapp, Maddox, Coy, Egolf 138- Eicher, Moore, Laughlin, Franko 145- McCormick, Vauhn, Bates, Levitz 152- Garman, Sturgill, Mullinix, Perry 160- Gray, Baumgartner, Weimer, Liter 170- Jackson, Luginbill, Baker, Davis 182- Hinkle, Eli, Hiestand, Kohler 195- Dunten, Howard, Davis, Evans 220- Guerra, Ellis, Davis, Hangen 285- Swartz, Cummings, Hiestand, Phillips
  15. Gotta be careful talking about that Decatur Magic lol
  16. Jay County 120 Sawyer Miller South Adams 160 Jacob Gray Delta
  17. Purdue messed up? He's been there for HALF A SEASON. How can you say they messed up when he's not even a year in yet?
  18. And Ersland not recruiting in state? Just because he doesn't have anyone signed on doesn't mean he's not recruiting them. He said in an interview a few weeks back that he's trying to recruit some awesome in-state talent. And what's wrong with out if state recruiting? He's got the 31 and 24 pound for pound ranked wrestlers in the nation.
  19. Jacob Gray Delta beat Bryce Baumgartner Belmont in UTB
  20. Anthony Mosser AC beat Josh Stephenson Yorktown 9-6 second week in a row he's pulled an upset. Pepple better watch out
  21. Masons pretty tough and I think he might be fighting through it. He's been wrestling with a torn ACL for 3 years so what's a little shoulder injury?
  22. It's a wonder you're not a professional writer for IndianaMat yet. Beautiful preview
  23. Really sad to see Mason's career end like that. I was really happy to see him come out for his senior year. I wish him the best wherever his life takes him.
