  1. Thanks for saying which wrestler it was so everyone knows.
  2. TribleB meant every comment he said. This is a public poll and his vote can be seen, so we know where his beliefs lie. Trolling 101: You cannot troll someone by saying "I trolled you." That automatically makes you forfeit trolling rights. Oh what's that? My name is Troll? I guess I should change my name or forfeit my rights or start making sense.
  3. Yeah but you can't play football with 5 players on the roster. They are given a shot to win because they have at least 11 players on team. Your statement just justified 3/4 of the states' point of view on the topic.
  4. You still aren't making any valid points to backup your beliefs. If you want to hold a team state for Little Sisters of the Woods and Eastern West Chicago Central go right ahead. Just make sure each qualifying team has a maximum limit of 4 wrestlers per roster and their school size is less than 37 students. You can write up the brackets on a used piece of loose leaf. You could try trackwrestling but the internet would probably just laugh at you.
  5. All brackets for every sectional are on track wrestling.
  6. If you have 9 forfeits you shouldn't be in consideration. You can be a small school and have a full roster. Teams with a full roster are much more deserving than teams with 5 wrestlers. There is no sense in having a team in the tournament that would have AT BEST a dual where they lose 52-30. Just because he posted a poll doesn't mean he against class wrestling and underdogs. This poll just shows that about 3/4 of the people on this site have common sense.
  7. In 2011 Indian Creek had 2 state champs, a runner-up, and a state a qualifier. I believe they only had half of a squad and lost many dual meets that year, but placed high at individual state. If they would have gotten a bid for team state, they most likely would have gotten last place and would have kept a team with a full squad out of the running.
  8. I tried googling conseco but all it did was talk about insurance?
  9. I agree people shouldn't whine when they aren't good enough to get seeded in the top 6. But what you were describing is everyone getting thrown into a hat and have a random draw because the best wrestler will get through anyway. That is stupid. At least the top 4 should be separated. Some years a sectional could be good enough to have 4 wrestlers place at state. It would be a shame for one of those to get randomly drawn into a state champ first round. Just because a kid that should be a 2 seed complains about drawing into a 1 seed doesn't mean he is most wimpiest.
  10. You're logic only works in very rare situations and is quite frankly, stupid. Sure, all wrestlers should go out to the line with an intent to win, but that does not mean every wrestler has the skill set to do so. We do seeds so you don't have the best two kids wrestle each other first round and have a potential state runner-up get beat out at sectionals. The state tournament isn't settled in a day, it is settled over four weeks. Which means two wrestlers could wrestle each other every week with a different outcome every time. Knocking out a state runner-up or even state champ first round of sectionals is the dumbest thing you could do for the sport of wrestling. How do you not understand why people are concerned with seeds? Are you that thick?
  11. If he placed last year he falls under the "Prior year IHSAA semi-state quarterfinalist," so he will be seeded. Unless there are 6 wrestlers in the same weight that all made it to the ticket round last year.
  12. The 30-0 kid should be seeded above the 28-2 kid every single time. Unless the 28-2 kid is a semi-state quarter finalist.
  13. While I agree with the "all-in" concept, the committee needs to reconsider this number to at least 4 or 5 participants. If those 5 sectional champ can't win a sectional, they won't win a team state dual.
  14. Hey bud didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.
  15. How about the region rats start a new thread instead of high jacking Fort Wayne's
  16. Do you know what a comma splice is? Yes Andrae was pretty good. There is even real evidence of his Fargo accomplishments. But I think you may have lost the Jaggers/Fargo battle.
  17. Maybe he placed 5th at ISWA freestyle state once?
  18. I guess each conference should be able to do what they want it just seems a little silly. I hope it doesn't catch on at any sectionals because it could end someone's career.
  19. So if you we're undefeated on the year and missed that one conference dual tournament due to injury or illness like you said, you wouldn't get seeded?? What kind of backwoods math is that? That has a chance of doing more harm than good. Someone that should be a #2 seed could get the #1 seed, and the wrestler that is undefeated and should get the #1 seed could get unseeded and draw into the #1 seed. That could really put the screws on a kid.
