The allowance is based on all schools being able to practice, not if all schools are in session.   Obviously if you are in session you will likely be able to practice.  However, if some schools are not in session, yet they are all still able to practice later that day then the additional allowance is not issued.

So, if school is out all week except for Friday and all schools are in session, no additional poundage, correct?

Schools with at least five Sectional titles in a row

    Evansville Mater Dei- 43
    Perry Meridian- 20
    Crown Point- 17
    Merrillville- 15
    Bloomington South- 11
    Portage- 11
    Carroll (Fort Wayne)- 9
    Penn- 9
    Harrison (West Lafayette)- 8
    Castle- 5
    Chesterton- 5
    Prairie Heights- 5

Schools with at least 4 Regional titles in a row

    Evansville Mater Dei- 8
    Penn- 7
    Bloomington South- 6
    Carroll (Fort Wayne)- 6
    Harrison (West Lafayette)- 6
    Portage- 4
*Note that the format of the state tournament changed in 2013 back to the tournament regional champions. That means Bloomington South, Carroll, and Harrison have all won regionals in the new format. Mater Dei and Penn carried over from the dual format.

Make it 9 regional titles for Mater Dei

Depends on if teams can practice Friday. If they are out Friday, I believe the max they would get would be 2 pounds so 106 would be 110. If all school are able to practice, then no additional weight would be allowed.

I thought if school is in session Friday then no additional poundage.

Someone asked on the youth forum how many 3 time middle school state champs there were, so I have been going through brackets for a few hours.  So far I can only find 3.

    Jesse Mendez
    Brayton Lee
    Drew Hughes

Enough said.  Based on this info I;m going out on a limb and picking Jesse Mendez to win state at 126 this year.

What about at 160 evansville harrisons Jacob Boyd?

and at 285 harrisons Dawson Garrett has a good match first round, both wrestlers are pretty even in skill levels

I think arguing who finishes in 4th place in this regional at this weight may be diving a little too deep?

Fulks vs Lee comes to mind , both are undefeated. Any other potential undefeated matchups?

Sam Scott vs Boarman is going to be a huge match as well.

Don't think any of those four will be very close

Totally agree that the above three won’t be close. I think Egli-Sutton will be a tight match though. I’ll be at Evv North though so the Boonville kids can prove me wrong!  Hope everyone wrestles their best!

I'm not the coach and not 100 percent sure of why who wrestled who that day. Will is for sure a stud. Will and Carson have known each other for a long time. His dad is a buddy of mine and great guy. With that said, I was hoping to see them wrestle too. I think that the coaches assumed that the dual may have been close and they wanted to ensure 6 at 182 (I really don't know)???

As far as Conley, I think he wrestled 160 all day (I think).

With all of that said, it was no secret that we had issues filling a good line up early in the season. We got a little more solid around team state time. Long story short.. don't know why are kids bump up some duals and not others. Carson has been under 182 all year and has wrestled half the season at 195. I just watch and have no clue of what's going on!!!

Im sure we will see some great matches at 182 and 195 in a couple weeks.

Thanks for the well wishes. Best of luck to Will. And.. congrats to Casebolt!!!

Thanks. I, for one, think Having that match under his belt would have really helped Will at this time of year.

I appreciate the kind words from my buddy. I will say that here in Indiana Brewer has been forfeited to, teched, or pinned everyone he has faced through sectionals and has only given up points by cutting kids. He really takes pride in pushing the pace and scoring lots of points for a bigger guy.

Love me some aggressive wrestlers. Big fan of all the others on this list!!!

I was hoping to see Carson wrestle up against Nunn from Castle at the Mater Dei 6-way in early December. He would have been heavily favored and wrestled up more than once that day. What led to the decision not to wrestle Nunn?

Nathan Conley also wrestled up that day to deprive us fans of a great 152lb match against Dickens of Mater Dei.

There were more than a few disappointed fans that day.

Good luck getting your first State Title btw.

Desanto is a bad sport a lot of times..I love watching him wrestle but all that extra yelling in ppls faces after he beats them or trying to break arms with kimuras out of frustration isn't cool.

I couldn’t agree more. How many more wrestling fans would DeSanto have if he just went about his wrestling style in workmanlike fashion?  I still love watching him wrestle.

Well..technically if you go back to BracketGate2015 it's tied at 1-1....and I'm not so sure Faulken's won't pull something on this one either.

    BracketGate2015.  Thanks a lot UncleJimmy

My kid went from having Noah Hunt in a would be revenge match in the ticket round to Graham Rooks.  Thanks Faulkens. I think Alex Johnson of MD ended up with Chad Red as a result (I could be wrong) so I shouldn’t complain.

Easiest answer is it’s very close to their old facility.  It’s right off 10th street and IN46/IN45.

Okay so who's right?  Your two answers are different.  #SeymorVsTheCounty
