  1. Donnell Washington Portage over Nathan Conley Avon 12-1 at 152lbs. Ouch.
  2. MD will be too much for Columbus East. Look at the dual score. MD way too strong 106-120 (probably 18 pts right there). 126-160 will be GREAT matches though. Even if Columbus East wins all 6 of those, you're probably looking at only 18-19 points. And that won;t happen IMO.
  3. Not sure, but their normal 113 Evan Light is not on roster. 106 FF was they key to their loss obviously. Castle's 106 is very inexperienced. BTW, watch Frankton (3-see in 1A). North Posey's coming to get you.
  4. 126lbs: Carson Willis Castle over Tanner DeMien Penn 13-7.
  5. BBurg 66-7 over Center Grove PM 39-19 over Castle MD 52-6 over Carroll Portage 50-18 over Harrison Yorktown 54-23 over New Prairie Wawasee 54-19 over Frankton North Montgomery 59-14 over Lawrenceburg Garrett 55-19 over IN Creek Prairie Hts 57-19 over Attica Central Noble 52-24 over Shenandoah Frankton 45-30 over S. Adams Adams Central 49-18 over Cass
  6. 152lbs: Robert Deters Castle over Aiden Warren PM 9-5 OT
  7. 126lbs: Carson Willis Castle over Sam Fair PM 2nd period pin
  8. 152lbs: Robert Deters Castle over Aiden Warren PM 9-5 OT
  9. Matt 10 (Castle vs. Perry) video frozen. At least you can watch your dual SWINfan!
  10. Fuller (Jeff) wrestled 182 yesterday. Hensley beat Josiah Freeman of Jeff. Carson Willis (Castle 126) lost to Clay Egli of Mater Dei 3-1. Blake Boarman 113 Mater Dei over Devon Casebolt Castle 9-5. Blubaugh 152 Bloom So over Parkinson Mater Dei by one (7-6 I think) Parkinson Mater Dei over Deters Castle (3-1 I think). So Deters, Blubaugh and Parkinson all traded wins/losses yesterday.
  11. Bloomington South 39-33 over Castle
  12. Watched Wyro get 2nd at Mooresville Holiday Classic last year to Brayton Lee. Beet Brooks Wathen (Jennings Co) and Alex Barr (Yorktown) to get there. Solid.
  13. Alec Freeman although he would be an undersized 106.
  14. IMO, this lineup is actually ideal for Mater Dei. Only a couple studs are being left out. A few kids have probably made significant sacrifices at certain weights so that they can put this strong of a line-up together from 106-160. And there's really no drop off above that unless you are talking Team State quality opponents.
  15. Union County(KY)
  16. #1 in his class but not smart enough to take the SAT on one of the dozen Saturdays available before now??? I kid I kid.
  17. Oh he's all good. Looking forward to college. As he put it, recovery is not something he wants to go through ever again.
  18. All his concussions were from wrestling practice. It has not been an uncommon thing in my short experience, especially in high school....
  19. My kiddo Baxter Annakin has decided to "retire" from wrestling his senior year. He as had too many concussions and values his brain more than one more year on the mat. He has loved wrestling ever since he joined Castle Wrestling Club as an 11-yr old. It was 100% his decision, which I think is important to mention. His Mom and I were crushed, but very proud at the same time. Concussions are a scary thing and not to be taken lightly. He will be at Castle's matches rooting on his teammates, especially his senior class. I've become a big wrestling fan as a result of Baxter's involvement in this great sport, and an even bigger fan of Baxter after watching him grow into a fine young man. Good luck to all our wrestlers out there this year. May they stay injury free. Doug Annakin
  20. I’ll add Willis of Castle and whom ever lands there from MD. Agree this might be tougher than 138!
  21. I think a more interesting question what are the toughest SS's by weight class? Anyone up for the challenge?
