  1. 132- Cory Orndorff (de-throwning Broukal in their 3rd consecutive match-up Devin Broukal Blake Jourdan Kyle Todrank Well this one wasnt even close to happening today! Davis beat Orndorff by fall...Todrank out by fall in ticket round. Broukal had his hands full with both Jourdan and Davis today. This was one great day of wrestling at 132.
  2. Cross-eyed cricket always good and pretty easy to find from the Ford Center.
  3. And which couch would that be? Seeing how you seem to think you know me?
  4. This is such an important topic all around...the winners, the losers, the couches, the wrestlers and yes the FANS should all show sportsmanship. I have seen instances where all the listed above have be unsportsmanlike. Remember you are setting an example for others no matter what you are doing...do it with pride and be respectful and always show good sportsmanship.
  5. Thank you but there are more but I will not mention names. The 3 mentioned are definitely 3 on the list. I am just simply stating that some wrestlers joggled other weights as well...again not taking anything away from Lee but giving other wrestlers their credit as well. I agree with your statement that though Lee will run away with 126 here it would be easier to face him and have a chance at 2nd or 3rd than face a weight class full of a lot of talent. And perhaps Jon H you miss understood when I said the boys from up north...I was not referring to state...simply that most of the boys these 3 will be wrestling will be from farther north than where these 3 come from.
  6. I agree that Nick had a lot of impact on wrestlers not wanting to be @ 126 but do not kid yourself. A lot wrestlers are not wrestling @ 132 due to Todrank and Davis and then you throw Jourdan into the mix and man what a challenge it is for other wrestlers to have to wrestle any of these wrestlers. Not taking anything away from Nick Lee...I have watched him for a long time and he is a force to be wrecken with but these boys at 132 are going to make it interesting for the boys from up north. Good luck to all the wrestlers this weekend and I am looking forward to some great matches.
  7. I agree. Jourdan is much better than that. I did not get the see the match but heard Todrank hit some 5 point moves. Ive seen Todrank wrestle and know he is also a force to be reckoned with. Good luck to all the wrestlers this weekend in all regionals! Gonna be a great weekend!
  8. Ok #5 Joudan was tech - falled last weekend by #18 Todrank but does not move in rankings? And thank you for your ever so kind response.
  9. This is tough to hear! I had the privilege to watch her win state when she was younger. She was something to watch. Get better lady!
  10. Haha how can someone lose to a much lower wrestler by tech fall and not drop in the rankings? Oh well...it will all wash out in the end.
  11. MD is always tough. They are MD but how many of those MD wrestlers were at state and were in the finals? Oh nevermind...we all know already.
  12. I agree the ref got the call right but to raise his hand then take the points way was horrible. To tell a young man he just won state and take it away? Cruel...good call from what I seen.
  13. Mater Dei is Mater Dei. Their record speaks for itself. Every team has a rebuild year but to say they dont cherry pick might be over stating things...
  14. We have all read the posts on here about Mater Dei all post season...They send 12...Well they sent 12 and 2 get thru. Reitz sent 6 and 3 went thru. Do the math...I could care less about the overall scores. If you have a team that sends 12 to semi state and only 2 make it thru...you have to wonder. By the way...regionals were the same way...they sent a lot thru but how many were standing atop the podium? No disrespect to a youth Mater Dei team. They are Mater Dei and will always have a great wrestling program but face the facts...3 of 6 is better than 2 of 12. Good luck to all the wrestlers who are going to state and thanks for a lot of great matches at Evansville Semi state.
  15. It amazes me how anyone can say any wrestler has an easy road. It is in my opinion disrespectful..almost sounds like he doesn't deserve to be there. This is a great bunch at 120. I enjoy watching them all. I haven't seen Lahue wrestle yet this season. Looking forward to every match. Everyone of these kids deserve to be there and NO ONE has an easy match not alone an EASY ROAD.
  16. Well apparently there are more teams out there because that was not the team I was referring to but it would make me just as sick.
  17. Well there seems to be a lot of poor sportsmanship going around. Its sad. There is a team that neither the wrestlers nor their coachs will shake hands with the other opponent or coach regardless of the outcome. But the worst in my opinion is this teams' fans. They cheer when one of their wrestlers injuries another wrestler. Yes they CHEER AND LOUD!!!! I find this sickening and I believe it should be punished. NO ONE should ever cheer when another team's wrestler gets injured no matter who it is. This is beyond poor sportsmanship. I dont even know what to call besides sick!!!!!!
  18. I soooooo agree! Only people from southern IN can appreciate the truth in this statement.
  19. The same ref missed pin calls all day. He was constantly not calling the pin. It was wrong in my opinion but thats the ref.
  20. I think we should start a petition to get the inter galatic meet back on. We could have it on saturn because I bet the view from the rings would be awesome!
  21. This is not a surprising statement nor added pressure for the kids considering the potential MD has. The top four wrestlers move on. To say MD will not finish in the top four is pretty ridiculous. Sure there may be some surprises but this is a fair statement.
  22. He said they will put many of them on TOP of the podium. MD is a great team...great wrestlers. As a team they dominated but if out of 11 you can only put out 2 wins to TOP the podium...it says to me you may have overstated the puttin them on the TOP of the podium. Did they make it to the podium? When dont they? MD is not the powerhouse they have been in the past still a great team but they are not putting people on the top of the podium. If another team put 11 out of 14 thru to the finals and only had 2champions...I would be making the same statement. Domination maybe...at the TOP of the podium...hardly. Mater Dei clearly showed at SIAC that they will put many on top of the podium. Anyone have some upsets they would like to predict?
  23. Not taking anything away from MD because they as always have a good program but to say that "Mater Dei clearly showed at SIAC that they will put many on top of the podium" might be over-stating it a bit. Yes they had 11 out of 14 I believe that made it to the finals but out of the 11 that made it only 2 stood on TOP of the podium. I believe there really is no truly dominant team this year. All the teams seem to have some great wrestlers.
