    Damn turned away long enough to miss exactly what happened. But Fitts just got disqualified for flagrant disconduct. Warren Central gets 6 points and Mater Dei loses the 3 points gained from Matt Lee's win. All I saw was the whistle blown for potentially dangerous and it looked like Coleman's leg got twisted. But I missed what was so flagrant. That's a 9 point swing! Coleman didn't like it and when they shook hands at the end earned a 1 pt deduction for unsportsmanlike, so it is now 5-0 WC after two matches.

    Mater Dei makes a lineup change, inserts Scott Fitts at 152 against Warren Central.

    Did he do more than put his hands in the air like he was asking the crowd to make noise? If so, I missed it. If not, I've seen similar stuff many times with no penalty.

    Wish someone would tell the guy operating TW on Mat 11 to shut the hell up. No one cares about his opinion of whether David Bell should have won Mr. Football. Do he know he's got a mic by him?

    Donnell Washington bumps up to 170 to face Nick South. South wins 10-5 but CE loses a team point for unsportsmanlike conduct. Didn't notice anything gregarious, but I looked away briefly.

    Do a search under tournaments and put in IHSWCA... it will be at the top of the list

    Mat 10 - Hard to say on an ETA, but they are up the next round. Semis for places 5-12 are up now. Mat 5 in the Final if they beat WC. Mat 6 if they don't.

    You know I can't say I remember when/why he stopped it, but I can't recall seeing that before. Couldn't hear an explanation on the feed.

    Here is a good example of how matchups make a difference... Carmel beat Portage 45-24 Mater Dei beats Portage 43-26 Mater Dei beats Carmel 43-13

    Cathedral up 28-24 on Avon going into final match at 126. Walendzak vs. Rioux for all the marbles... Or at least, a lot of the marbles.

    Mater Dei 32 Carmel 13 after 113... Baumann won by Major over Hooper. Boarman up now. Just got awarded 4 pt, nearfall? Did we just adopt college rules?

    Nice matchup of State ranked guys at 170 - Macartney Parkinson, MD vs. Logan Hart, Carmel. Parkinson pretty much controlled the whole match on top and wins 6-1.

    Brody Baumann in at 113 for Mater Dei against Jacob Moran. Great scrambles so far. No score after 1. Moran wins by major 12-2. Good battle. Moran just a little too strong and excellent defensively. A few times Bauman would have had a TD against 98.7% of wrestlers in the state, but Moran fended him off. There's a reason why Moran is a State Champ and Nationally ranked. Look for big things from Baumann down the road as well.

    There is a "notable matches and upsets" thread that has some individual results.... maybe they should be merged?

    Looked at the tournament on TW and Indiana guys from UIndy, Lindenwood, McKendree, Wabash, Marian, Lindsey Wilson, Cumberlands and Indiana Tech. Will look at results Sunday and post as much as I can.

    I'd agree Gable is the likely favorite, but saying it's his to lose is pretty strong. I get where you are coming from, but still see it as pretty open, especially until we see him face Stoll and Cassar.

    Wrestling start at 9:00 Eastern or Central time? Track shows 9:00 Central, but isn't Ft. Wayne on Eastern?

    $15 for all matches. Not as good of a deal as the $10 a few years ago, but still one hell of a deal if you can't make it to FW!

    Correct..... though, his previous matches now count so he is 18-3 on the year. But this was indeed his first official varsity match. I like it. 285 is very uncertain this year with Gable wrestling as a frosh, Stoll not wrestling much, Dhesi just getting started, etc. Wide open weight. Look forward to see how he does against bigger guys like Stoll who carry the full 285 (or close to it) and have the wrestling ability to boot.
