  1. 170 - Jackson (IL state champ) MD over Sean Mappes - 18-9 Nathan Jackson, along with Tsirtsis was the most impressive wrestler so far. This was a takedown clinic. Mappes looked like he was standing still as Jackson took him down at will. Mappes did hang in there, however most of his points were from being cut.
  2. Harvey definitely looked gassed. 160 - McMurtry (IL state champ) dec Brian Harvey 13-8 OT (throw to the back in OT)
  3. Any other results from mat 1 available?
  4. 152 - Kaminksy (IL) dec Adrian Brown 7-2
  5. 145 - Jason Tsirtsis Fall over Mayes (IL state champ) - 1 min left in 2nd period; was up 12-1
  6. 138 - Silvestro (IL state champ) dec Devon Jackson 9-3
  7. 132 Richards (IL 2x state champ) dec over Jared McKinley 5-2
  8. 126 #2 - Latanski (IL) dec Alonzo Shepard 3-0 Team score 12-9 IL
  9. 126 Kyle Ayersman dec over Pearce (IL state champ) 4-0 Who is wrestling the 2nd 126 match for IN? That's not Shepard, is it?
  10. 120 - Petrov (IN) Fall over English (IL) early 2nd period
  11. 106 Gonzalez (IL) MD over Kevin Condo 9-1 113 San Juan (IL) TF over Brodie 23-7 This is large school class
  12. What happened to the thread with the roster for IN?
  13. You just brought back my childhood! Let me see how many I can remember.... Lamb - Bosse? Jeske - North Claybrooks - North? Grammer - Reitz Reis - can't remember, when did he wrestle? Grimwood - Harrison Noreiga - Central? memory is foggy on him, but I remember the name Williams - Central Fleming - ? no idea Grant - ? no idea Happe - Central? Stone - ? no idea Lahanis - Bosse Powless - Memorial
  14. Would be nice to see Ethan Farmer step up to go at 152. If not, would Blake Rueger be an option? He was highly ranked and lost a tight 1-0 decision to Farmer in the SS ticket round. Would also love to see Maurer join at 195. Is Tyler Willis hurt? Hate that neither Dominuque Stauffer or Kaden Suter weren't available or interested at 285. Lastly, has Indiana ever won this dual meet? I live in AL so most years I've missed it and it seems the years I catch it, the results haven't been good.
  15. Is there any footage on You Tube of him wrestling in HS? My first attempt filled up with links to Lance Ellis, the musician.
  16. Is it a foregone conclusion that Micic moves up to 113 next year? Otherwise, I would think he'd have something to say about who is the best at 106 next year.

  20. How can I find out if my State entry was received? I submitted it late last night, but had some computer issues so I'm not sure it went through.
  21. I was in a suite with people from Central, Memorial and Reitz and they all felt the same. The TD call was iffy and Warren should have had back points which would have kept it from ever getting to that point. Opinions vary, but those that felt he got the short end of the stick did not all come from Castle.
  22. We thought he should have gotten two back points as well. Not to mention the bad TD call at the end. Not a minute after that match was over the mat right next to it had a wrestler do the same move and roll a kid to his back. The referee immediately indicated back points and ultimately gave him 3. Warren could have gotten 3, but I thought he deserved at least two. Had to have been a tough way to go out.
  23. 16 of the 19 come from 106 - 145. Only three came from the heavier weights.
  24. I saw LaHue for the first time last weekend and was impressed. I thought he controlled Schoettle though he didn't dominate him. He did handle Tyler Stock who is respectable and beat Davis who had been wrestling well. Schoettle on the other hand was an enigma. He struggled with Mastison in the first round and won 2-0 on a very shaky takedown call. Most everyone around me agreed that he should not have scored. I didn't see much of his 2nd round match, but he utterly dominated SQ Alex Johnson in the semis in an 18-3 TF. After watching that, I was surprised LaHue handled him, but he did. I'm looking forward to seeing how far he can go this weekend.
