It's an all father team. So I'd say he should be honorable mention at 120 where his kid wrestled this year.

i think most of this post should be in the prediction thread. He was ranked 2nd in the semistate. Ranked 6th In the state. In Karl ' s predictions he went with the #4 in the State. That's not really underestimating the McCutcheon kid.

My thought on it is st Joe for example had 6 underclassmen make it to regionals, np had 3. St Joe had a total of 7 guys, np had 12. At semistate st joe has 1 underclassmen and 1 senior, for a total of 2 np has 1 underclassmen and 3 seniors for a total of 4. St Joe is on the rise as a program for sure, but a head to head match this year would have been ugly, and I'd say I like new prairies odds to replace some of those seniors atleast with regional qualifiers and likely be the better team next year. The difference is st Joe gets to be in consideration, new prairie who would likely be able to compete, would not. -

I'm far from a np fan but I have seen them wrestle, and they are solid at every weight, they Change it up a lot aalso. They had guys under perform and I've seen some of their back ups and sure they might not improve from this year (they could) there likely won't be a huge fall off. That's why I'd suggest the write in ballot so they(and others) have a chance. Because there's going to be a few teams on the ballot that would get blown out by np. Now those teams likely won't make it but they will have a chance. You throw the write in vote then technically everyone has a chance. Now if there is the write in on it I have no argument, because then they can vote and use common sense and eliminate the errors that can't be fixed. -

I do agree with the np father a bit. It's kind of ridiculous that a team that unless they have some crazy improvements for next year are going to be on the voting ballet while new prairie isn't going to get a chance. If I were a betting man I'd say their jv could probably beat atleast one of those teams that is in contention. I understand that it's neat impossible to judge How strong a team with that many seniors on it is going to do next year but when they have double the amount of regional qualifiers, more semistate qualifiers, and not that many less non seniors make it to regionals/semistate, then a team, I would expect them to be better next year then the other team. There should be some way to give those teams a chance at getting voted in. Worst case (if it isn't already there) let people write in a team, if they feel a team has a solid jv behind a bunch of seniors they could have a chance. -

did you look at the brackets? Your projections aren't possible. There aren't wrestle backs so if you lose in the first two rounds you can't place top 4

I feel the same, but I think I like his chances against micic a little better at this point because of how much they have wrestled.

I can't wait to see lee in action. That being said, the bias in me hopes lee is on the same side as micic. Micic beats him to get upset in the finals to davis. Am I the only non - penn person that wants this? OK nevermind...

My guess is because neither pick is wrong. Fuqua was a state runner up at one point, Fuqua beat hughes.

I actually like James odds to win, especially the more times they wrestle. Wilson is great and Has an unbelievable upside in college, but I have to guess James has a huge toolbox from how long he's been wrestling. There are definitely some other positives to his experience, but it be interesting.

I will slowly put mine together today. 106: Hildebrandt, Hatch, Hartley, Kazmierzak Hartley didn't look very good at sectionals and only lost by 2 so I expect the result to change. 113: Slates, Solis, Chadwick, Tyler Chadwick tried coasting and it cost him the match against tyler. Laughlin, if he wrestles like he was at Al smith and before could win this weight (Slates hasn't been wrestling the same either) but until I see that fire again, I can't pick him to even make it out. 120: Sinko, Hartman, Selis, Allmon 126: Davis, Hunting, Markovics, Cotton 132: Warner, Hesch, Beam, Olsen Any one of these can win, depending on who comes out with fire. I give Olsen and Beam the nod in the first round do to schedule strength and being in al smith, they have been pushed but both could lose. 138: Swank, Nelson, Trevino, Wright 145: Forte, Varner, Malone (upset pick), Goering 152 : Macri, Rinehart, Lee, Zajac 160: Mammolenti, Hogan, Proctor, Hezlep 170: Osborn, bates, Bell, Malone Malone is dangerous though 182: Jankowski, Wisemen, Houin, Bradley 195: Woods, Beck, Ferrill, Kemal 220: Stohler, Perry, Shafer, Ernst 285: Shaw, Christman, Dodson, Coffel

My guess is he's going off sectionals. Tylers tough but he beat chadwick because chadwick was comfortable with a 1 point win, a late score by tyler ended it. The winner of Laughlin and Solis should take 2nd. At 132 just flip a coin and come up with projections lol. 45 should have a couple good first round matches.

I've hit Super ducks on Co workers outside of work, does that count? And life can be "misseeded" or unfair, if we are teaching kids lessons, how about strive to overcome the nonfairness.

Why would a good team not want another good team there. If you have two good teams battling it out, it will help the individuals that are going to place get the competition early. The schools fans might not agree, but thats because they want to brag that their team dominated.

With that logic, we should just get rid of wrestle backs from all levels. At sectionals if you don't make it to the semi-finals you should be done.

I'm sure cathedral, penn, mater dei, and Franklin community would not mind the added competition.
