If you don't agree with someone's projection and you feel it necessary to post your feelings on the messageboard at least have the decency to explain why. Give us your prediction. What do you have for a final team score? Give us a weight class by weight class analysis. You make a much better argument when you can provide facts and information to back up your predictions.

You can add in Luigs from MD ranked 16 at 113, Castleberry from New Albany now ranked at 145 and Weinzapfel at #12 at 152. Shaping up to be a very competitive Holiday Classic

What leads you to believe MD is down this year? Is Central down? Reitz may be down, but Ferguson is a stud and Davis is very good. Castle has a good young group of wrestlers and Memorial is probably as good as they have been in recent years. Wrestling in Indiana is as god as it has been in years, just look at the number of nationally ranked wrestlers. Micic is ranked #2 and while most think he is a lock to win another title I'm not so sure. Forte, Lecount, James, Nick Lee, Corsaro, there are tons of Indiana studs. This is not a down year in Indiana. Just ask Union County if you don't believe me

Brown has already lost to Johnson. They wrestled at Jasper last weekend and I believe Johnson won 4-2. Pierre has looked more "on" since that first match against Memorial. Forzley and Kemper will be a battle. Forzley has looked good.

3A team Seeding at IHSWCA State Duals?

My question is how do you "build" a high school program differently? Aren't you trying to make every kid in the room as good as he can possibly be? You act like Cathedral only focuses on 4-5 kids and making them better, while the other kids in the room only serve as practice partners to make those kids better. I can't understand that way of thinking and that's why I hate that we don't have the Team Dual Series anymore. What we have now is no way to crown a "Team Champion". The IHSWCA Team State duals is a fantastic event and any team that wins it will be the best representation of "Team" we have in the state of Indiana. You can't tell me that Cathedral is going to show up and not care whether the win or lose. They will show up, compete hard and do everything they can do to win. If they do anything different than that they shouldn't show up. -
I think we might be getting a little ahead of things here. Ferguson, Kelley, Kemper, Schnell, Ramsey and a few others might have something to say about Mater Dei winning titles. They do have a shot at a few though and almost all should place top 4.

I will try to tweet/post results as they happen. Should be a great night of wrestling. There are some great matchups if both teams wrestle straight up and I think both will. Blackwell vs. Lee is the biggest match of the night for the fans, but some other great ones will be, Oxford vs. Seng, Dezember vs. Johnson and Ervin vs. Jourdan. Sheffer vs. Luigs and Gahafer vs. Weinzapfel feature ranked Union Country wrestlers against unranked wrestlers from MD. I would not count out the MD wrestlers in those matches, both are very good.

3A team Seeding at IHSWCA State Duals?

It's crazy not to seed all 8. You are potentially denying a team ranked #5 the opportunity to defeat the team at #4 and place top 4. This year especially the team at #5 could "upset" the team at #4 instead of possibly facing #1 or #2 right off the bat and falling into the bottom 4. It may not effect the eventual champion but it does help make the placing of 1-8 more accurate. If we are only worried about crowning a champion why do we worry about seeding at all? Maybe it's just me, but I can't think of any good reason not to seed all 8. -
Castle's Ramsey (132), Schnell (138) and Farmer (145) are all very good. Farmer is very tough for being a freshman. Look out late in the year for him.

Jourdan had Broukal beat until he got cradled twice in the third. Was leading 5-2 until about 1 minute to go in the match. Nick Lee was ridiculous as well. Schweizer (MD JV 126/132) picked up 2 falls over the weekend. Seng had a couple of big wins Evansville Semi-State should have a great showing in February at Banker's Life!!!

That is true. All of the top schools have studs just waiting their turn. That is why they are the top teams in the state. You don't rebuild, you reload.

And then what do you do with Jourdan? If you move Jourdan up where does Seng go? Who do you move out of the lineup to insert Schweizer? Tough call

Lee beats Blackwell, but it will be a great match. Ervin over Jourdan and I agree, it won't be that close. Ervin is a complete stud. Should be a great dual between two good teams. There will be quite a few battles.

South won by fall at 195 and 220 and Broukal beat Jourdan 8-5 after trailing most of the match. MD won everything else. South coaching staff got hit for one team point which is why they scored 14 and not 15.
