  1. E.I. Does great work. We have used them for the past 5 years and all of our gear has been exactly as advertised. Not to mention Jeff gives back to the state with gear whenever he can!
  2. Be sure to stop in the room on Tuesday night for some more live wrestling. Last week there was a great mix of all sizes. Light all the way through heavy. Take the opportunity to make yourself better by coming in.
  3. Need to get your legs and lungs back? Stop by Jimtown RTC tonight for a lot of live! Let's get ready for state this weekend.
  4. Jimtown RTC will be open this Tuesday, March 5th. Enter through door A2. It is time to get ready for next season. The competition in the room will be great like last year. We will see you there!
  5. Due to the weather conditions. We will see you next Tuesday, March 5th.
  6. We would like to thank all the table help from our parents and club members today. You guys made a huge difference. We started at 9:40 and wrestling was completed at 2:30. It was a great day of action pushing 360 kids through the tournament and having many kids get some great mat time. Thanks again to all who helped out...it made a huge difference. Jimtown Coaching Staff
  7. The Jimtown RTC will start this Tuesday, February 26th at 5:30. It will run every Tuesday night through the off season. We had a great room last year and will continue to this year. Many wrestlers from Northern Indiana, North Central Indiana, and Lower Michigan attended which made for great workout partners. There will be multiple guest clinicians on top of a room that saw 2 State Champions, many state placers, and state qualifiers. Not only is our RTC a great place to work out but our RTC also puts together dual teams to wrestle across the midwest at National tournaments. You must hold a valid ISWA/USA Wrestling Card. We will see you Tuesday.
  8. Nick Crume gave up 3 points all weekend (one was a full nelson). I would say that is impressive. Especially in the 126 pound weight class to be able to ride that well and not let people come out from underneath. Coach Red's shades were impressive as well. Impressive you ask? Did you see anybody else there that could pull those off...me either.
  9. I thought the overall calibur of both wrestlers made that one of the better matchups. We of course had Crume in the finals and there were emotions involved in the match. I thought going into the finals a few of the best MATCH UPS were... 120: Wilson vs. Hughes (style match up: Wilson-EXPLOSIVE vs. Hughes-HAMMER ON TOP) 126: Crume vs. Welch (Both are hard to score on, quick, and both are outstanding mat wrestlers as well.) 138: Forte vs. Blanton (style match up: Forte-solid position vs. Blanton-Funk Master) 152: Farrell vs. Corsaro (both were last years 2nd placers in their weight class) 170: Stevenson vs. LeFever (outstanding bigger athletes/wrestle like 145 pounders) I am not saying these ended up being the BEST matches, just amazing match ups.
  10. Great job Hurford. Karl...he is my second favorite to watch as well. Seems that we have good taste!
  11. Great way to end a great season and high school career! All of your hard work and hours have paid off. You never complained and always came back for more. We would like to say great match to Luke Welch and we wish you the best at Purdue. Thank you for all of the great memories Nick. #JimmieNation
  12. Both sides could be happy in this arguement. Keep the individual the same and have a classed team tournament. It just means more kids having an opportunity to wrestle. This would bring up the "Watered Down vs. Our state eventually getting better" debate back. Eventually teams would keep getting better and better the more mat time they get throughout the season. More wrestling would eventually (I hope) bring out better quality overall!
  13. I wouldn't say we were as bad as the flu virus ....sure we aren't at full strength right now, but we will be by team state!
  14. Jimtown RTC will be open tonight. Make sure you stop by. Coach Bachtel is always looking for committed wrestlers to fill summer duals teams. See you tonight.
  15. Jimtown RTC High School Wrestling Room May 1st Make sure you take the opportunity to get in the room! See you there.
  16. Jimtown RTC Tonight 6:00-8:00 p.m. Be there!
  17. Jimtown will be open once again this Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the high school wrestling room. Those of you wrestling in the HYWAY state duals at Mishawaka this weekend, make sure you stop by for a few last minute workouts.
  18. After a busy few weeks with wrestling at Folkstyle Nationals in Iowa and Scholastic Duals, many wrestlers were back in action for the RTC. Keep stopping by each week for a new opportunity to learn and get better. Great room again last night. The area was WELL represented.
  19. A very good and competitive room last night. Some of the scrambles these kids create to not give up takedowns is very fun to watch. Bremen, Goshen, Elk. Memorial, Penn, Jimtown, Wawasee, Mishawaka and more were in the room. Keep stopping by each week. The more styles of wrestlers you see during the off-season, the better prepared you will be for when it counts. Stop by and make yourself and somebody else better.
  20. Be sure to stop in tonight for some more live wrestling. Get back in the swing of things after spring break. We will see you tonight from 6-8pm in the high school wrestling room.
  21. The Jimtown RTC will now be closed over spring break! Our school will be doing major cleaning and has asked nobody to enter the school after 2:30. There will be no RTC on April 3rd. The New Zealand High School National Team will be working out at Northridge next tuesday night beginning at 6:00 pm. This would be another option for those of you who would like a workout over break while everybody else gets REAL FAT on spring break!
  22. Jimtown RTC added more kids last night from around the area. Northridge and Wawasee were in attendance last night for some live wrestling. Keep coming in each and every Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you!
  23. The Jimtown RTC WILL be open over spring break on April 3rd from 6:00-8:00. So if you won't be in a warm tropical place, join us in the bright and warm environment of the Jimtown Wrestling room. A vacation all by itself!
  24. Be sure to stop in tomorrow night. Henry Wilk will be in the room. Not sure on the room over spring break as of yet. Will post about next week when I find out. Be sure to come in and get a workout before spring break!
