  1. Broadcastsport.net. Not 100% accurate but I'm working on it. Semi finals and finals should be good.
  2. Also, they are usually allowed to chose whether they want to weigh in before or after the guys. (Typically its in the same room, as its a hassle to move two scales.) Also, if the home rep is weighing in a home female wrestler, the visiting school(s) may also have a female rep witness the weigh in to ensure there's no last second weight cutting or other shenanigans.
  3. It's way harder to get the experience over winning ideology in parents' heads than it is the kids. At times, it is a battle trying to keep the big picture in the parents' minds, especially parents whom have never been around wrestling. I would, in most cases, much rather a kid lose 7-6 than pin his kid in 15 seconds. Unfortunately, I only get the kids for a few hours a week. If the parents are drilling winning and only winning into the wrestler's head, it becomes a losing battle.
  4. From Penn's student publication... 6. Based on their results this year, I can't believe that anyone else has taken 6 off them.
  7. Everything stated here is so ridiculous that I don't know where to start. I did not imply that Penn deserved the win. NEVER did I even come close to implying that. If Penn deserved the win, they would have won. The scoring rules for a team in a dual format in folkstyle wrestling are cut and dry. In saying that PM wrestled no back ups, I was INFORMING anyone reading that it was their full line up. Immediate reaction to a score that close with Perry could be that they wrestled back ups. I was simply denouncing that in advance. The overtimes notation was a reaction to a comment, not a hint that Penn should have won. But please continue with the name calling. That's he only accurate and entertaining part of your posts.
  8. Everything I've said is a statement of fact. Just because my name has Penn in it doesn't mean I'm making excuses. I mean do you understand the difference between a fact and an excuse?
  9. If I was trying to denIgrate them, I'd say Penn was two overtime points away from beating them.
  10. I stated three facts that I thought people might be interested. Good lord. Little on edge are ya?
  11. Penn 19 PM 31. Duals were 6 to 8. Perry used zero reserves.
  12. If enough people annoy mike Faulkner and Jim Aldridge with emails, it will probably happen.
  13. #4 Hildebrandt: semis # 6 Cochran: semis #5 Davis: semis -- Beam: eliminated #3 Curcio: semis #3 Reinhart: semis #5 Mammolenti: semis #1 Manspeaker: semis #6 Osborn: semis #6 Wiseman: semis -- Chaffee: consos #4 Stasiak: consos #4 Stohler: consos -- Cunningham: eliminated
  14. Mishawaka high school, in all their wisdom, has blacklisted broadcastsport from the Al Smith Tournament. Their reason being that their high school radio class does he broadcast, which I'm sure is just dynamite.
  15. Mishawaka high school, in all their wisdom, has blacklisted broadcastsport from the Al Smith Tournament. Their reason being that their high school radio class does he broadcast, which I'm sure is just dynamite.
  16. Mater Dei bumping up It is very rare that a team will bump up classes, but Mater Dei did and lost by the slimmest of margins. Thank you for not being a big fish in a small pond Wildcats and getting after it with the big boys. Is this taking a shot at Yorktown? ;D
  17. Please post your prediction vs Penn, Bloomington, and Franklin... With what would happen at each weight class, line-up vs line-up.
  18. They've actually explained it many times and made their intentions clear via their actions many times. The goal of the individual wrestling tournament is to crown a champion. Wrestlebacks don't matter because in the long run, they don't matter in the crowning of a champion.
  19. Too early to post potential lineups and predictions to go with them? I've done it in my head... Just wondering where you're getting barnburner. ;D Hope it's a good dual. It'll make both teams better if it is.
  20. This was probably Coach Hartman's thinking, rather than boycotting because a JV team wasn't worth his time or whatever people are trying to make of it. Wrestling Penn's JV would (legally) give Penn video of all of Clay's wrestlers, which Coach Hartman probably would not want.
  21. Other teams must not thinks its a problem since they are the ones who extend the invite. If they don't want penns JV there, don't invite them.
  22. What's the saying? Believe nothing you hear, half of what you see, and the opposite of what you read on this board!
  23. It very well could have in this format. Nothing against Parks... Great kid. That's actually a credit to him... Losing twice and coming back to place 2nd.
