  1. I want some of what your smoking with a staement like that, I think they beat Penn like 57-5! Who else in this state do you think could run over Josh Harper and the boys like this??? As I stated before they are scarey good, and maybe the best team in Indiana since the 2003 EMD team!!!
  2. I think the moon, sun and stars would all all have to be perfect harmondy for the Irish to pull this out after seeing what Perry did this weekend at Bellmont! With that being said, on paper I think there are some great match ups almost at every weight class. I think the Irish on paper could win anywhere from 4-8 matches, but so far PM wrestler's have found a way to win all big dual matches almost to a man! I just hope it's as good live as it seem's to be on paper, and even if the Irish find a way to win 7-8 weights I think bonus points could work to PM's favor, but this is why we wrestle these matches Good luck to all and lets get it on....
  3. Cathedral wins 3-1, and that HSE kid was hugh 6"5 286lbs...
  4. I just dont see Harvey loosing to Neibarger, and I do not underestimate Austin I just feel Brian has found a way to win these type of matches in the past! But that's why we wrestle the matches, so good luck to all....
  5. The Irish are looking forward to this match up as well as I'm sure HSE, so let's make it happen and see what happens. I've heard alot of talk about this one and it should be a good one, so who willing to call the winners of the above mentioned possiable matches?
  6. As a father of a Hwt I will say although it takes a different set of skills than lightweights, it still takes great wrestling skills to be a top tier state guy. My son survives on good technique, or else at 260lbs you couldn't and wouldn't takedown a decent 285lbs wrestler, or for that matter get away from him from the bottom. It's the only weight class youwill see a 20lbs-50lbs weight difference in 2 opponents! If you do not create angles a bad shot results in the house being brought down on you, and do you know what kind of athlete with good hips that it takes to blast double a 275lbs monster, or the footwork to snatch up a single of 280lbs and to be able to finish? Yes, watching bad Hwt's can be pityful but the same poor technique happens with kids that just dont know how to wrestle, but the big guys seem to get talked about more.....Just My Opinion!!!
  7. Dont think this match up happens because for whatever reason the CP coaches have been very leary of letting Kral wrestle highly ranked wrestlers prior to sectionals. I am saying 100% the coaches make this choice for Tyler, so please understand the context of the statement. Also Kral has been scored on this year, Kinney of Cathedral took him down and scored back points in a 8-4 match at Traicoff earlier this year...
  8. In the state rankings I dont understand at Hwt how Garland (Rushville) leaped ahead of Winfield (Perry Meridian)! I know he beat Uhl's & Brown but Winfield is still undefeated also, so he (Winfield) went from 8th to 9th without loosing ???
  9. The Spartan Classic had far more forfeits at 106lbs than the 220lbs and Hwt's as I remenber and that's a bit of a surprise....
  10. Mappes is a very good wrestler, but so is Willis and I'm not sure there are many that can match his athletic abililty to go along with his wrestling skills!!
  11. Can anyone fill us in on why Maggert(Hwt Penn) ff to 5th place was he hurt in a previous match?
  12. At Hwt#6 Bernard (Cathedral) beats #5 Walker FW North 5-2...
  13. Hwt's Bernard 19-0 (Cathedral) & Winfield (Perry Meridian) are both still undefeated....
  14. Who are the 3 1st round Roncalli vs Cathedral matchups?
  15. The Connersville coaching staff obviously is not intrested in doing whats best for the tournament or most of the kids, and it's obvious when you look at last years and this years draw for their wrestlers...
  16. Imagine that.... The same happened last year as far as the favorable draw that the Connersville wrestlers started with!!! Several of the coaches last year were not happy because of this...
  17. They pulled this same crap last year, so I guess in their eyes it's ok for this to be a blind draw for everyone except for the Connersville wrestlers, and what's really sad is they will finish no better than 3rd or worse so what's their point? The asst coach I understand is the guy who draws this thing and his integrity was called into question last year by several respected coaches when this happened (Connersville wrestlers having a much easier draw to open the tourney)!!!
  18. They pulled the same crap last year putting the Connersville wrestlers away from any strong competition early in the brackets, and that is taking home advantage to a whole different level. So in their eyes it's a blind draw for everyone else except their wrestlers, and whats sad is they still finish no better then 3rd - or worse!
  19. Just wondering if all weights were a blind draw as it appears Hwt was, you have the only 2 ranked wrestlers meeting in the quaters? Does anyone have the brackets that they can give us a link to?
  20. I understand the format of the tourneythanks, but trying to get approx start times specifically of semis & finals please.....
  21. Can anyone assoicated with the tourney give a approx time when the quater finals, semi finals & finals should start, please? Also when will brackets be released, and will they be on trackwrestling?
  22. I think you need to read above again, because you seemed to not understand he is saying he thinks Connor may be the only guy at that semi state that can beat Gino even though he is picking Gino as his favorite.....
  23. I understand since Gino Gillum has been out a year why he is only ranked 12th at this point, and the fact that the city tourney is his only wrestling so far this year doesn't give one much to go on. But as one that has watched him in the Irish wrestling room more than holding his own with the likes of Corsaro, Harvey & Willis tells me he will be lethal by time sectional rolls around. Hope to see Gillum vs Ruger #2(Reitz) at the Spartan Classic will be a great way to gauge exactly where he is at this point....
  24. I like Willis @170lbs by major points against Crocker, and as Thorton stated, Kenny wrestled well against Kral and threw him to his back and got back points in the match, but Kral returned the favor also. I think it was a 4pt match when they wrestled.....
