  1. What weights are the three Welch boys and Brown wrestling?
  2. How did your 119 do at the Turkey? Is he a freshman?
  3. Quinn Schroeder will be 135 for MD
  4. Did anyone expect this to be that close? Did Ferdig win at 112? Who is wrestling 119 for Mish?
  5. May (MD) vs. Hoehn (MV) at 130 should be a good one.
  6. Is that Charlie Allen at 119 for Boonville?
  7. If he can't win the spot at 12 any chance he will go to 19? If he was over 120 a couple of weeks ago it would seem to make sense.
  8. What teams are going to the tournament in Mt. Vernon this week?
  9. Yes, what is Carroll wrestling? He is ranked at 119? And was Evan Loe wrestling for Peru?
  10. What was Mt. Vernon's full roster?
  11. I'm sure the lower weights at Reitz will be as tough as any in the state. It will be a tough run for anyone to get through that.
  12. Any individuals standing out?
  13. I might take Vibbert to win it at 103.
  14. Who are the freshman filling the lower weights at Mt. Vernon?
  15. 112 should be a grinder, but any idea what 119 and 125 may look like around the league? Will they be tough as well?
  16. yes, Dane is Blake's younger brother
  17. I think you might see a couple of different names in there. Will Vibbert wrestle at 103 again (if so he will compete for title), Henderson at 125 and look out for Weinzafel at 145. It'll be interesting to watch it all shake out this year. Can't wait to get it started.
  18. Who are the three varsity caliber MD wrestlers you have heard that may not find a spot in this years lineup? who might be filling those spots? Any idea of a potential MD lineup at this point?
  19. Mater Dei should be the team to beat this year. Returning 13 varsity wrestlers and possibly adding Lennie May back into the mix. Should be a very solid lineup. I agree Reitz will be tough as well, but I look for MD to take the top spot in the SIAC once again.
  20. Craig Macke 4x placer and all 4x in the top 4, twice 2nd. Can anyone else say this?
  21. I don't disagree that something needs to be or should be done to eliminate as many forfiets as possible, but I also don't like eliminating a weight class in the middle where most of the participants and better athletes fall. Why couldn't wee increase 103 to 106, move 112 to 113 (keeping a significant weight gap) and leave all other classes the same. Seems to me that would solve both problems listed above. The only negative I still see would be the very large gaps at the top (171-189 and 189 - 215). Best thing to do there would be add a weight class, but from what I have heard that won't happen.
  22. We'll see how things shake out next fall, but MD should have a very solid lineup all the way through. Only 1 senior gone from last year. If the boys put in the time this summer, they've got a shot.
  23. My son is an 8 th grader now and wanting to put in some work this summer to have a shot at varsity next year. Hi is going to a Jordan camp in June, but would like to go to another. Does anyone have a suggestion? He needs some technique work more than anything, especially with the TD. Thanks
