New mat question

We recently had new mats put down in our wrestling room. They are great except that there seems to be some kind of oily or waxy layer on the surface of the mat. Not sure if it will wear off or if there is something we can do to get it removed. We have mopped several times, but it's still there. Has anyone else had an issue like this and can provide any insight?

Mild solution of Dawn dish soap in water takes off all manner of wax/grease/oil-based grime.  Just don't use too much or your mats will make bubbles the next 10 times they are mopped. It's a marvel of modern chemistry.
