maligned
Kayla was dominant today until the semi's. Once there, she mostly controlled her Ukrainian opponent and led 4-1 late before getting hit with a beautiful counter throw off of her own shot to go down 5-4. From there, the Ukrainian defended well the last 45 seconds and held on to win 6-5. The medal matches will start at noon where Kayla will go for bronze against an Kazakh Uzbek that was dominated by the Ukrainian earlier in the tournament. maligned
It looks like Mats A and B will have 2 simultaneous bronze matches followed by a gold medal match on B for each weight, so there will be significant breaks between each match on A. Maybe close to 12:30 for Kayla's match

maligned
Kayla is a junior world bronze! She wins 2-0 in the medal match over Uzbekistan! Far from Kayla's best match of the day, but she did what she had to do to win. Congratulations! Overall, she looked to be clearly the most polished/skilled girl of our 4 who wrestled today.
