FlyNavy
Outstanding job by the young officer. Flying a helicopter is no easy task. They have a completely different set of aerodynamics than fixed wing aircraft. Add to that the requirement to manage and accurately use a complex weapons system while flying the aircraft and I think you can appreciate that Lt Martinez has achieved quite an accomplishment. Best of luck on a rewarding career. He's off to a great start in his training and there will be much more to follow.
MattM
Not to stay to far off topic but former Plainfield wrestler Scott Zimmerman also has graduated form West Point and is currently overseas in Japan flying, as well. He has won some military wrestling events over there and as a result been invited to the US Army wrestling championships in Colorado. It's always great to hear former Indiana wrestlers have turned into very sucessful adults and some even go the extra mile to help serve and protect our coutnry.
