GrecoCoach
Rugby and Lacrosse are going through this process right now. They developed well organized state associations for school club teams that sponsor state tournaments. After several years of development, they are getting closer to the 50% requirement. Some schools are starting to recognize them as "varsity" sports, even though they aren't IHSAA sanctioned yet. When either or both hit that 50% mark, then the IHSAA has to sanction them. The IHSAA will probably want to balance boys/girls sports, and if women's wrestling was at or near the gymnastics number, they might have a chance. Unfortunately, there's a whole lot of work to do to get to that point. Coach Peck and DCHawks
gogoplata89
So is it going to be freestyle then? Because all women's college teams are freestyle. New York's women's wrestling is also freestyle (they had their state dual final at beat the streets)
