Saturday May 18th, 2024 Mt Vernon High School 8112 N 200 W, Fortville, IN Eligibility: Accepting teams consisting of 7th-12th Grade. Weight Classes: 100, 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, 215, 285, . 5 lbs. Weight allowance (Onsite weigh in with singlet and shoes) Accepting first 8 teams to register! Maximum roster size- 18 wrestlers total. Coaches will be sent a link from Trackwrestling to enter rosters. 4 wildcards will be allowed. Cost: $375 (Must be paid by 5/1) Includes 2 Coaches passes for entry and Hospitality. I have been told there was a group of 18 the voted unanimously on these changes. There were coaches on this committee, but who they are is a mystery.

Southridge was changed back to an invitational. All wrestlers that signed up for the tournament can wrestle at State.

The regionals were cancelled due to weather. All that registered for a regional were moved into the State bracket. This is going to be a great event! Nearly 500 wrestlers! Due to the amount of participants, weigh in has been moved to 8:00 with wrestling to start at 9:00 and there will be 10 mats instead of 6!

Mt Vernon (Fortville) is hosting its annual JV tourney on December 21st. We have had some schools drop out due to not being out of school yet. Currently we have 9 teams and would like to get it back up to 12. Weigh ins at 8:00, wrestling starts at 9:00. This is a great opportunity to get your jv kids some matches over the break. It's just $10 per wrestler, so if you only have a few it's a very inexpensive we to get them quality mat time. We will run 4 mats, with block style brackets to get 4-5 matches per wrestler. If you are interested, please let me know and I will have a contract sent to your Athletic Director asap.

The specific rule in question is the step out rule that ISWA (USA) has adopted. The NFHS has not adopted it at this moment and High school girl's events should not be using it (per IHSAA).

I read the info on an injured wrestler. It seems that if you had a freshman in your lineup all year and is injured the week before sectional, you do not get any relief for him? What I read said he had to be 10th or 11th grade. Is this correct? -

Add 120 at HHC to the stacked brackets. Mosier Delta 22-0 Broady MV 24-3 Doss New Pal 15-1 (only loss to Broady) Wolf Pendleton 20-5 This is going to be a fun day of wrestling to watch with several teams poised to make a run at the championship!
