  1. Apparently, you have missed something. According to the IHSAA, New Haven High School, is shown and listed as the HOST SCHOOL. And while I'm at it, many years back, little K - through - 12, Adams Central High School, in Monroe, Indiana, which is in Adams County, and not Allen County, was the host school for several years. I can remember their Athletic Director of those times, Art Habegger, scurrying around the Coliseum arena floor, during the set up and tear down, using his two way portable transceiver, answering questions, and solving issues immediately as they had occurred. And yes, other area schools helped out by providing additional manual labor. Also, there was AC Computer, Phil Arnold, providing the administration of the tournament software for the whole day. This was way prior to the Track Wrestling tournament programming. I don't believe New Haven High School went it alone in this 2018 Semi-State venture. Especially, since Woodlan High School provided at least two of the competition mats. When Snider or North Side hosted this meet in years past, other Summit Athletic Conference Schools, assisted as needed; Wayne, Bishop Dwenger, etc.
  2. What does the Mayor of New Haven have to do with the hosting of the IHSAA Wrestling Semi-State, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum; located at 4000 Parnell Avenue, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The School Corporation, is the East Allen County Schools, and the Administration Office, is located on Green Street, in New Haven, Indiana; and so is the New Haven High School. The community's Governmental Administration, has no direct control or link to the School Corporation. In the City Of Fort Wayne Corporation's boundaries, it is the same situation. The Public School Corporation is the Fort Wayne Community Schools, and the Mayor (the Honorable Tom Henry, and City Council) have no administrative authority over the school corporation. The school corporation is a separate and own administrative entity.
  3. I was believing, there would already be a post here about this observation, but I didn't see anything, and that could be an oversight. Former Columbia City, Bluffton, and Jay County Coach, Randy Kearby, has returned to Northeastern Indiana. Randy is the 2017-18 Head Wrestling Coach for the Fort Wayne, North Side, 'Legends' Program Squad
  4. For the most part, the entering of participants' IHSAA seeding and entry rules, are pretty much the same as they always have been. If a school enters a particular participant, and the entrant can not wrestle for what ever the reason, the only option is place the name of an alternate in their place, and the original entrant is no longer a participant, and can not be moved up, to cover a different weight class for their team. The original weight class entrant is just simply out of the 2017 IHSAA Wrestling tournament series

  6. Someone is surly going to inquire, as they always do. The Fort Wayne SAC will be wrestled this coming Saturday morning, January 21, 2017, at 8:30 A.M. The seeding meeting will be Friday evening (Jan. 20th.), at 7:00 P.M., at R. Nelson Snider High School, 4600 Fairlawn Pass. The results and brackets, shall be displayed for public viewing, on TRACKWRESTLING.com at about 10:01 P.M., Friday evening, and not any earlier.
  7. If by chance you happen to be just a fan, and also have an active GOLD membership ($50 Dollars per annum), you can enter the pages of the tournament brackets while a match is in progress or after a match has been completed. If every match in the tournament has a unique match number, click on the match number, this will take you to a dialogue box, where you will be required to log in again. Once logged in, you will be able to observe that particular match during it's progress (similar to the dashboard), or you can observe all of the stats/moves and points awarded for each wrestler in this match. If this match contained a Fall (pin), the action and the time is recorded out on bracket below the advancing wrestler's name for the next match that wrestler is going to be wrestling. You can always use your nibbling tool program, to encircle, or box in, and capture the match details, you might be wanting to save, and store it in a file of your choosing as a JPEG.
  8. Here it is 12:06 P.M. on The Feast Day of St. Valentine, but the IHSAA has yet to provide the Track Wrestling 'Gold Members' anything. By the way the forums internal clock isn't based on local time from the Eastern Time Zone, but rather some other place in the world.
  9. They, the 'Track Wrestling' brackets, indeed, maybe up on Thursday, but they will be empty, because the seeding meeting isn't until Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. at Snider H.S.

  11. I believe you're a little confused about why the match is paused for bleeding, and clean up. First of all, high school (Folk Style) wrestling is not the WWE, and shouldn't ever be compared to it in any way. Secondly, blood time is taken, in a attempt to curtail, and close the wounded area (such as internal nasal cavity tissues, cracked open lips from the very dry warm room air, or a glancing slice to an eye brow from the sharp edge of an opposing wrestlers head gear. The problem with the blood, is the possibility, of this liquid body fluid, being contaminated with some sort of infectious disease, and it could have possibly come into direct contact with another person, or persons. Some diseases like HIV can be spread by coming into contact with someone else's infected body fluids. For a clean up procedure, a strong dilution of Chlorine Bleach and water, should negate any undesirable bugs in the body fluids, being now it has become a waste product.

  13. Safety for all is paramount. Also, give everyone a great reason to avoid litigious civil court cases. Should there be a travel accident, with school transportation vehicles, and injuries are a part of it, God forbid, the personal injury legal specialist, will be on the scene, dispensing their business cards before, any ambulance has driven away with any of the injured. In fact they'll still be hanging around at the accident scene until after the towing services have remove the wreckage, or they'll be waiting at the hospital ER, for a prognosis for those receiving treatment. This is no longer the good ole days; no great grandparent stories about walking to school for seven or eight miles in all kinds of inclement weather. I can remember a certain high school Athletic Director (now long since retired), whose mantra about hosting wrestling tournaments during the worst of snow event. 'If the snow against the school building door, isn't so high, that we can't open and enter, we will be wresting'. AC Computer knows of whom I'm referring.
