  1. Shenandoah is 11-11, I believe. They have beaten Hagerstown twice, who is ranked ahead of them. I will get the team book and update all wins and losses along with head to head matchups minus both teams forfeits. They have 4-5 really solid kids but have forfeited anywhere from 3 to 4 weight classes each dual meet. They are young, with only 2 seniors in the starting line-up.
  2. I don't understand the logic at 215 with Mofield, from New Castle, falling out of the rankings. He went 7-0 first week out with one forfeit and the rest all falls or lopsided victories. I know his competition was not great but why the decline??
  3. Wilger beat Lumpkin(Fresh.) from Shenandoah 3-1 in championship. New Castle had champions at 112, 119, 130, 135, 140, 160 and 215.
  4. Huntington North is a very solid team. They have come a long way, they deserve much credit for their win. They were the better team TODAY. Congrats!
  5. New Castle has wrestled decent competition. They wrestled BELLMONT, Cathedral, Westfield, East Central(though they are a bit down this year) Mason,OH, LF Harrison, New Pal to name a few. They have legitimate shots at getting 112, 119, 130, 140, 152 and 171 thru to state. Their 215 pounder has wrestled well at times. He lost to Kokomo kid ranked 3rd in OT and knocked Buchanan, from Cathedral, out of the rankings.
  6. You missed Mullins at 130 from New Castle with a win over Stringfield(Cathedral). I think the score was 8-1.
  7. Campbell @ 112 New Castle beat #14 Kendle and # 8 Harvey to remain undefeated in his high school career. Believe Mullins is undefeated this year as well. Unless weights were shuffled he should have had a win over # 10 Stringfield today. Justadad could you help us out with some of the scores?
  8. The wrestler I am refering to is Dusty Bennett not Sammy for anyone who might misread my post. I believe a wrestler from Lafayette Jeff but I am not 100% sure. Lost by 1 pt I was told. I was not there so I cannot be 100% positive.
  9. New Castle still has a few holes to fill but some big matches could happen today. At 112 # 2 Campbell vs # 8 Harvey. Campbell still undefeated in high school career. 130 will pit # 2 Mullins against # 10 Stringfield. Plus feature 3-4 other ranked wrestlers: Fellers(NC) @ 140; Willis (Cath) @ 160 and Buchanan(Cath) @ 215. Throw Catron @ 119, Rose @ 135, Bennett(only 1 loss this year) @ 152, and Wasson @ 171 from NC plus all the great wrestlers from Cathedral and the wrestling will at the very least be intense. If NC's less experienced wrestlers can keep from getting pinned and catch a couple of falls they could keep the team score close.
  10. Not sure who is at the Warren tournament but Indy Cathedral is hosting a tournament as well. I know New Castle is there and in the past Xavier from Kentucky, Connersville, and Jay County. It is a Super Six. At least this gives you another option.
  11. Sounds like the main core wrestled extremely well. Congrats to all. Bennett suffering his first lose of the year. I assume Catron's lose was to Petrov? Thanks for the info.
  12. Justadad what were some of the NC boys records.
