southport high school has a huge gym close to 10,000 seating plus aux gym. perry meridian has acouple of gyms also that are wrestling friendly.

why is cathedral not in the team scores.

Im not a Perry Meridian fan but you cat argue with there schedule. They have wrestled Franklin, LN, Penn, Roncall, New Pal, Avon, Center Grove and the the always tough Marion County Tourney. Not sure on the rest of the schedule but I know there in the North Mont Tourney and the Bellmont Duals.

Robert Rossbottom vs. Dan Jankowski at the seymor semi-state. When the match started everyones attention shifted to that mat and people crowded to that corner of the gym, on the floor and in the balconoy and the match did not disappoint. My memory is kind of foggy so maybe someone can help me out but i think the score was 4-2 0r 4-3 in (2 o.t.).

awood10, I never said he had Nelson. I said he drew into Nelson at the semi state and if it wasnt for that Duncan would have qualified. Also I never said he was going to win either i said it was going to make that a more interesting match on friday night.

I think its a big difference in the brackets know that Duncan is in, he is a former SQ and probablly a better more battle tested wrestler than Ash. If it wasnt for him drawing into Nelson he most likely was the third best wrestler at New Castle Semi-state(119).

I dont know why Ash is out but know that Seve Duncan is in that becomes an interesting friday night match between him and Lovejoy

Kevin Huser of Roncalli went from JV to 4th in the state losing in triple ot to John Leavell as junior, its a shame that he blew out his knee senior year with a record of 20 something an 0. The same year his teamate Andrew Patton went from JV to SQ.

DJ pinned everybody but Ian Spearman from Southport that year, i know it was at semi-state and think the score was 3-1 or 3-2 cant remember that was a long time ago. -

i dont think its going to happen this year, with Bartley being injured the rebels will have to do to much jugling of the line up to try and compete.

New Pal has only beat Roncalli once @ the Perry triple dual and Roncalli was missing there 103 and 112. Would have made for a much better dual meet. -

1 more thing, I dont remember LN ever shying away from competition. Here is there schedule: Warren Central @Anderson Highland @Franklin Comm (Roncalli, Franklin, Pike) Carmel the next 3 weeks are brutal @Calumat(Mishawaka, Crown Point, Cathedral, Franklin, Portage etc...) Marion County tournanment Al Smith Classic @Inpls Tech @Lawrence Central MIC tournament(Warren Central, Center Grove ect...) It looks to me that they wrestle one of the toughest schedules in the state.

beachbum21,I dont know were you have been but I have been watching indiana wrestling for 25 years and LN has had one of the top wrestling programs in the state as long as i can remember. You said they just had a few good individuals that piled up points, I dont remember them ever having a week team. The one think you have to remeber is that the reason they dont have as many team state showings is becuase of the level of competion they had to face over the years to just make the team state. They had to go through teams like Carmel, Beach Grove and Cathedral who were the best teams in the Indianapolis area for years not to mention teams like Warren Central, LC, NC and that the fact there sectionals over the years have been pretty solid as well. No i'm not an LN fan just a wrestling fan
