Irvin boy is a phenom. He looked great as an 8th grader at the Harrison 10- way last year! He will win MD classic no matter what weight he wrestles!

I think MD should be where Castle is, Reitz where MD is and Castle where Reitz is. I may be wrong but I think Castle will be down a bit, MD will be up a bit and Reitz will have a squad that could upset both if the match ups are right. Either way these three teams are gonna knock the crap out of each other in the SIAC!

I feel Reitz will have the team to beat this year because of several factors. Number 1 - They got the MD monkey off their back. Number 2 - Returning wrestlers are hungry for a chance at team state. Number 3 - 7 potential state qualifiers. ( D Kuhn, B Johns, G Vanhook, T Moody, D Dowdy, B Rueger and A King ) Number 4 - 3 Football players that could make some noise ( M Schnarr, D James and B Kemp ). I'm not sure what weight everyone will wrestle at yet but the lower weight boys will be a handful for anyone in the state. With King anchoring the middle weights ( finished in the top 3 at iswa state with a broken nose after second match ). And a super freshman last year, Schnarr could be pound for pound one of the strongest wrestlers in the state! Should make for a great year of wrestling!

Would like to say thank you for an outstanding tournament! Started on time and Sonia was able to make adjustments on the fly ( kids not showing up and getting exhibition matches for small classes ect). This was my sons third year at this event and it won't be his last! Keep up the good work Sonia and the Tell Citty crew!

I saw coach Ferguson kick more than one kid off the team and I know it won't be the last. He does what he thinks is fair, and in this situation he deemed the kid need some support. If he weighted correct early than the wrestler has no reason to think he won't again. There had to be something to make him wanna do right for the kid! A couple of years ago at semi state we had a wrestler not make weight and Ferguson flat out told him he's done! So I think there has to be more to this!

I'm not arguing about weight! I'm just saying that a coach is not going to throw his kids under a bus and Ferguson is no different! If my son has a problem when he gets to high school I hope Ferguson has his back as well! Correction- I know he will!

I hope for your sake Slick you never have to eat those words, cause they would be hard to swallow! And you couldn't resist taking another jab could you, period! If your coach didn't back your wrestlers how many would continue to wrestle for him.......ZERO!!!!!!! You can't turn your back on these kids because you don't have a wrestling program without wrestlers!

Most of you don't know coach Ferguson, because if you did you would never question his character! As any coach he cares deeply for his school, program and most of all his wrestlers. Is he too turn his back on on one of his own? If it were your son or your wrestler would you? I think loyalty is hard to find these days! And I'm proud to have coach Ferguson as the Reitz head coach! People in glass houses should not throw stones! The Refs and the Castle AD made the call because they wanted to cover all the bases. It was explained to Mr. Cox and had the final say! Something must have swayed him one way or the other, so instead of attacking Ferguson, Van Hook or Harmon we should settle down and get all the facts before stringing anyone up in a tree!!!!!!

If you read the previous post, I think it's has been stated many times that no one said he cheated. Coach Fisher went to great lengths to make that clear! Once again no one is saying coach Harmon or Castle cheated in any way shape or form! In fact the only person I heard say or yell cheater was a Castle fan at a 15 year old boy!

You might add that the Jasper kid beat Wimpleburg 5 days after state football. Zach only had the 5 days of practice and still only lost by a point in a close match. It was clear that Wimpleburg was gassed after the first period but still kept it close. If they wrestle now i think Wimpleburg wins. Maybe we'll see in 2 weeks! -

We came up from Evansville and wrestled in Bloomington on Saturday then went to the Frankln meet. I'm glad we did because it was a great tourny! Started on time and finished early. Only complaint is if your gonna have lawn chair seating put it in the notes on your ISWA page so everyone knows. Man my feet still hurt but I'll be back next year and bring more kids ( and lawn chairs ). -
I'm really sick of the whole Mater Dei is down thing. What are you down from.......being number one all the way down to number two in the state. You take all the credit away from teams that you've beat this year like Merrillville (who at the time were ranked 2nd in the state). So your saying that these teams are even worse than it appears on paper or in a meet. Come on get over yourselves, you got beat by a superior team in Reitz. You stood on top of the hill so long you lost your edge and Castle and Reitz found it! I have know doubt in my mind that you'll wrestle above your so called ability the rest of the year. But dont take away from Reitz what they have worked so hard for by tainting the win with all the down year talk its a load of crap. In the words of Forrest Gump "thats all i got to say bout that".

Maybe I'll get some cool points since I almost got the score exactly right. Hope Decbell's been watching cause this just messed his rankings all up, but he can't say I didn't warn him!

MD85 I don't think Your score is far off but you got the wrong team winning. But hey that's why they get on the mat right. What ever the score or out come it's gonna be a great night of wrestling and it can't get here soon enough. Good luck to the MD boys in St Louis come back safe and sound!

MD85 do you really think Reitz will get pinned 5 time. If you change those to dec it's tied 25-25 acording to your score, so with Khun getting the pin Reitz wins on crit.
