So with the new rule changes does it make anyone think different about freestyle and Greco?

Ok I'll bite of the 40 kids that you have showing up for your folkstyle practices, how many go to tournaments. I know that kids learn at practice, but the largest part of the learning curve is taking it to the mat in competition and applying what you learn. I have coached kids that are monsters in their respective room that have trouble translating it past their regular practice partners. So do your 40 kids all go to tournaments during the folkstyle season? What do they do during freestyle and Greco season? Just wondering how your program translates the practice into real world?

Seeing this makes me happy to know that Terre Haute Northside took 5 kids and scored 45 team points

No offense taken he is often overlooked when it comes to being one of the top kids, but he consistently finishes at or near the top. People have hated the headlock from him for years (including me and his coaches). I noticed a lot more throwing in that weight class this year as well and this was the first year Thomas has placed at middle school state. His goal going in this year was to be wrestling between 6 and 7 pm (weird sounding goal, but he knew that was when championships started) and he achieved it even after losing his first match of the day to Burke. Anyway just wanted you to know that no offense was taken, but it did fire Thomas up to improve even more

Here's one for you. My son won greco state last year. I signed him up last night and when I finished it said that he had a different track wrestling profile, again after I signed him up. Come to find out our club president signed him up underhis real first name last week for the Brownsburg tournament (who didn't even use track at their tournament) instead of the name (which is his middle name) that he has wrestled under for several years. Now his profile shows a 0-0 record and he is stuck in the middle of the bracket. Will make for an interesting day. Not real happy with the president of our club after this one!

Yes you can keep team scores as well. Track wrestling is a great tool to use for tournaments. We started using it last year and everyone loved the ease of use! Worth the small investment in my opinion.

The Terre Haute North wrestling club is looking for middle school dual matches for the upcoming spring season. Unfortunately the Terre Haute school system does not have a middle school program in place so the club has stepped in and created a middle school team. We are simply looking for middle school dual teams that are willing to wrestle us this season.
