  1. Just got off the phone with the guy. He was sorry, and said that the should ship from Bangladesh tomorrow (air I hope!)? I'm not going to let the kids do without. I will have to wait and see. To be continued..........
  2. Got art work done in early December (for shorts). They quoted me delivery in 6 to 8 weeks from date of purchase. They got my check on December 14th. I called them for updates several times and got return calls. Talked to the owner today...... He cussed me and said that he doesnt care if I were the President of USA Wrestling, I would not get a refund! (LOL I swear). He said that it hasn't been 8 weeks and that I ordred too late in the season! I am not sure if he was using that Mayan calender that predicted the end of the world last December, but i simply told him that this Friday would be 10 weeks!
  3. Turn times are not good.
  4. Registration has been extended through 9 pm Thursday or up to 300 wrestlers (which ever comes first). Blocked weights. Most everyone will get three or four matches.
  5. In that case we did turn our roster in for all Avon School district boys which included all of our placers. 1st Mason Miranda (28 points), 2nd Drew Williamson (24 points), 2nd Gunnar Larson (22 points), 2nd Trey Lane (20 points), 5th Nathan Conley (19 points), and 7th Jacob Clark (15 points). For a total 128 points. That should be close to tops..... right? But who cares! It was a good day. Proud of all the boys. Perry should get the nod just for getting 30 kids there. That's what it all about growing our sport! God knows we need to do it (here in the USA) after yesterday!
  6. NO WAY!!!!!! http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ioc-recommends-cut-wrestling-2020-olympics-112611107--oly.html
  7. Does Mater Dei have an actual middle school or a middle school team? Im not sure and just curious.
  8. Agree with you guys, great event. Good too see and speak with many of you. Congrats to the Avon kids. We had 16 attend from our township. We had 4 kids in the finals with one champ (Mason Miranda). We had 6 total placers and a handful one match short. The 16 kids from our school district scored 168 points. Look forward to improving on this very soon. Congrats tp Perry on their great season. They continue to be on the top of Indiana wrestling. Just getting 30 kids there is awesome. We should all strive to catch them.

  13. Elmore from Avon gets no love at 170? He has a 8-4 win over Lewis (6th), and is 1st seed at the Avon Sectional. Lewis is 3rd seed (behind Lynch of Danville).
  14. Hudkins is too low at 106. Bet anyone a shaved ice that we will see him at bankers life.
  15. Avon with six 1 seeds. Should be a good day of wrestling. Good luck to all.
  16. The Avon Wrestling commumity wishes Tommy a speedy and full recovery.
  17. All the credit should go to Pat Vanhorn, her awesome crew at the Franlkin Wrestling Club, Pat Culp, and the other members of the ISWA board. We are all very fortunate to have these dedicated folks, that have put in countless hours for our kids. Pat Vanhorn, is our leader at all of our ISWA state events. Pat runs a very tight ship. That is what we need in a tournament director and leader. She never gets enough credit! Thank you to all that attended. The sportsmanship and level of competition was unreal. Hope to see you all next year! Matt Brewer

  20. 4 Hendricks County Teams, and our season hasn't even started. Nice to see that wrestling is becoming more and more popular in Hendricks County. ;D
  21. Avon will be bringing two teams! Avon North and South. Payment will be there soon coach.
  22. Agreed DLane, Great showing by the Indiana teams! The kids had a great time. Team Contenders finished 3rd in the elementary division behind a tough Storm team (national multi-state all-star team from Penn) and OMP (formally Pennsylvania Punishers). We did beat team OMP in pool play, but ran into team storm in the Championship round. After that we took care of the Harvey twisters in the 3rd and 4th place match. It was a great team effort. There were other strong teams from Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois all of which Indiana finished ahead of! Coach Bailey's Outlaws also had a great showing finishing in the top six of the championship bracket! The Indiana Mad Jacks and Hoosier Elite did a great job also! Good to see so many Indiana kids hanging out and having a good time. Did not get to see much of them but the Indiana Mad Jacks middle school team. But what I did see was awesome. They finished in 2nd behind team Storm also. Outlaws middle school team wrestled hard. Overall a great showing by Indiana wrestling!
