  2. So we should class the kids based on how much testosterone their body produces naturally at their age? ;D
  3. Ya, I saw that match last year, not sure what happened this year. Crazy stuff happens in wrestling
  4. I think he is at Marion Military Institute.
  5. Will Sheets and Tyler Baker from Bellmont placed last year.
  6. I'd say that any wrestler serious about getting recruited by Big 10 would go to the national tournaments.
  7. Sorry having some formatting issues
  8. The Midwestern states where many of the Big Ten wrestlers come from were powerhouses before they were classed. You can make the argument classes got them more exposure but it did not necessarily make them better wrestlers.
  9. Personally, I got into wrestling because the older kids in my grade school did. I wanted to be like them but their success didn't play into it. I couldn't wait to get to HS and wrestle. I really looked up to the HS guys, but in retrospect they were only slightly above average wrestlers for the most part and the team was average as a whole. I can't say that a team being a state champ won't get another kid to want to try out, because I think it would help some. However, I do not think switching to class wrestling will solve our problems and be worth it. Just an opinion.
  10. I agree, surprised me. Congrats to him
  11. If I was a wrestler in AZ I might end up showing up to the wrong divisions tournament cuz there are so many!
  12. Oh no, I'm not rested after the last one

  14. Big Ten Tonight or whatever their show is called did a piece on Brock Lesnar. Showed his past wrestling at Minnesota and his new training. He is a large man... very large
  15. Thanks Drooke, great info. Ya Ptax is awesome with his tilt racking up the points.
  16. The Big Ten is really tough this year, wish I could have seen the Ptax match, hard to imagine him doing that bad
  17. Why can Bluffton only fill 10 varsity spots when they have good tradition, coaching, etc.? Could it be that the kids realize that they have little to no chance of beating Bellmont no matter how hard they work? That is a bad way to look at it. Bellmont is 3A so they are not a huge school. And if anyone quits because they can't beat one of the best programs in the state they are not learning the lesson you are supposed to get from sports. Maybe we should discuss something less controversial like religion or politics...
  18. I'm sure not going to question his strength or size to his face..
  19. I would have to disagree with saying small schools do not have good coaches. I feel they are devoted and as dedicated as any and this is an insult.
  20. so now its a money issues, as if big schools don't have kids that have parents who can't afford the extras I agree, there will be poverty at both.
  21. I was there too and it was a dissapointing night
  22. I know Iowa is tough but hopefully Purdue can get it together by the post season
  23. But if you factor in the 2 jv guys behind each of them, its only .33 per school.
