  1. This is my opinion and only mine, the state of Indiana is really starting to put its self on the wrestling map pound for pound we are compeating with some of the top states for titles now as far as the state level each and everyone of the individuals named along with many others have the right to be on the list but as far as I feel "LET'S GET IT ON' and have a great year there is going to upsets and history making matches so lets all have fun and wish all who wrestle GOO LUCK
  2. Well Campbell's season was cut short due to an appendectomy. He did though come back during the summer and win the Cadet Freestyle Championship took 4th at the Jr. tournament the next day losing to Eppert and Beck with what was a very close match to Beck going 3 periods, Win the Cadet Regionals and become an All American at Fargo and went 7-1 at Cadet duals only loss was to Sorrenson from Iowa 1-0 0-1 -1-2who was second at 119 at Fargo. But we will let the mat decide the rankings at the end of the year at Conseco. His season also ended 42-0 with a win over Jared Mckinley of Perry at the Jr. State.
  3. We know how dissappointing it is to have to miss something you love so much. Last year our son had his appendix removed right after the sectional championships. It is difficult to keep your head right but Ashton is a tough young man we will look forward to seeing him compeat in the near future. Keep your head up young man you still have another year to make your mark.
  4. I fully agree the world is in turmoil and were worried about what kind of singlet a person wears. WHO CARES? My son has a really neat singlet that has Christ himself on it, you want him to take it off because it offends someones views or rules. NO WAY infact I dream someday he could wrestle in some tournament in the Middle East and wear it showing support for what he believes!!!!! The singlet doesn't make the wresstler the man behind it does you go Brandon wear your school proud no matter where you wrestle!
  5. As a former member of the US NAVY and one who serverd in Somalia, Gulf and counter drug operations in So. America i want to say thank you from the bottom of my heat . I recently read a letter from a former friend that to me says it all "Some have given some, some gave it all don't mourn their past rejoice in their being with God but pray there is still more like these young men and women who are willing to keep us free. For if it is not for them we will all be gone. THANK YOU YOUNG MAN YOU ARE WHAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS A HERO! My prayers and heart felt condolences to you and your entire family. God Bless you and the troops
  6. Just let you know there will be no fued between Campbell and Phillips those two are best friends. they love beating on each other and say they would give Indiana the show they are loooking for on the mat but as far as a fued never blood bath yes fued no. Both it seems are extremely excited to start the new season. My opinion the lower weight classes are going to as much fun as they were last year!
  7. Yes, Brenden Campbell did get in but, he is nursing a seperated shoulder and has chosen to bow out of the tournament and not take a chance on hurting himself any further for the upcoming season. He is excited to get the chance to hopefully pick up where he left off last year. He has been training hard and wrestled well this summer. I think he is more excited about this season than he was Fargo this summer.
  8. I think everyone needs to think about New Castle, placing high, they beat some tough competition last year and this year Campbell will be back in full force without the possibility of his appendix rupturing. The team is going to have a great line up with some deep depth look out the community is getting behind this team and the boys have a desire they haven't had in a while.
  9. Thank you Mr. Bennett for taking the time to take all the fantastic shots you have done a remarkable job and as a parent that is pretty computer illiterate I greatly appreciate you taking the time to do a bang up job.
  10. It is things such as this that make my heat weaken. There is nothing that words can say that will ever make this better. There is a special breed of people that makes up a wrestling community, and in my opinion Indiana has one of the best. I thought my son had a heart break this season but nothing like this, you are strong people and have an entire wrestling community from the entire state behind you. Please put you and your family in the hands of god as he is the only one that can help you heal. As the dad of a young man that just turned 16 My deepest sympathy and condolences goes out to you and your family
  11. Just wanted to say nice job to the young men that went to Rochester there were some hard fought matches and it seemed that although you didn't come out ontop there was a ton of valuable experience gained by all
  12. I want tho thank all the wrestling world for the get well wishes and prayers you sent to Brenden. He was having stomach problems last night so his mom n I took him to the ER. After many tests were ran the doctor came in and told us the news his appendix needed to be removed immediately. Not the answer he was looking for. The room was filled with tears from family and friends when the doctor revealed the last 3 weeks of the season were finished. With tears in his eyes he looked at me n his mom and said, " This is what God had panned for me right now, but nothing happens in his world without a reason." Very bold statement from a young man who dedicates most of his time training for this sport. The statement is true wrestling teaches you more about life than anything in this world. He is out of surgery and doing very well,we wil be bringing him home tomorrow morning and he will be able to go back to school Monday. He will not beable to cheer on his Friends and team mates at regionals due to medical reasons but he will be there for semi state and state. Yes he to has his favorites we won't go int that but we at the Campbell house want to thank everyon for the prayers and well wishes. Hes a remarkable young man and as a father if I didn't tell you I have learned a ton from him and look up to him then I would be holding the truth back, I worship him and he assures me this is a blessing in disguise because now he knows what it feels like to have his heart ripped out of him so when he is able he will be training harder and getting stronger because now his sights are set on making it under the lights at Fargo. Good luck to everyone and special thanks to his team mates and coaches and friends that visited him. all of you made a special placde in his heart
