You and me both know denton should of been ranked,but noone takes interest in our area of the state for wrestling. he will definitely make a name for himself and already has up to this point in our area. I give him the nod for the win first match, but the second one no , althought i hope he pulls the upset. But making it to the ticket round as a freshmen is definitely not to shabby. You cant even say that denton is anywhere near lynde, lynde went to state his freshmen year, and placed top eight his sophmore year, and right now in the top 3 or 4 kids in the state at his weight. This would still be the same if he would of cut to 160, anyways my point is if denton wrestled a weigt class up like 119 sure he might make the regional finals but would of gotton tech falled by brandon preston all the same. A win doesnt mean anything over a weight class below you, especially with a nine pound difference. I saw the match and Denton only won by a couple points. That was the only reason he won because of that strength and pound difference. Buckly is a good size three pounder, and the denton kid is kinda of small for 112, which made it evenly matched up. Also I could name several kids coming out of this regional who are by far better technical wrestlers like lynde, brown, preston, griffen, hicks, j.martinez, green and so on. To come out of the logan regional as one of the top dogs is not a big thing( since its one of the worst regionals in the state), other than it gives you a good draw at semistate, which doesnt guarantee anything. Denton may be a big fish in a small pond at logan, but now its time to enter the big pond with bigger fish. Other than that he is a very good wrestler

If Dale won 9-7, then does that mean Green wins in 1:50 I can see rummel upsetting hileman here, I know he has seen alot tougher competition this season where hileman has not

I would of liked to see rensaleer win, they have a better chance competing as a team then logan does with more individual studs, even with 11

140 Wagoner lost 4-0, really it was 2-0 and wags had to go big last minute and ended up giving up the takedown, they were trying to get a feel for each other first match, next time around expect to see more offensive 145 We didnt wrestle when we faced jeff I wrestled up 152, didnt make wait was sick 160 I can see Green winning this weight class, it would be a big change from last year going in sectional and getting beat by a fourth tough fourth seed at 152, last year 152 was one of the deepest weight classes with talent, had lynde in it 189 should be interesting with Cambell and nethercutt in the semi finals, nathan didnt wrestle very well with his first weekend back in three weeks at sectional. I expect a new and improved, healthy nathan nethercutt

If he did go to IU they would have three lower weight studs in years to come with roach, ritchy, and jason

I wouldnt doubt this is the toughest hwt sectional. Looking forward to the outcome this should be a battle I wonder if these guys will also take top four at regional?!

145 is such a deep wait class idk about anyothers cause this what weight i wrestle and whom im familiar with, but you have the potential of 3 state qualifiers and i dont know anyting about reynolds

Dix was the aggresser entire match, he was bigger stronger just pushing magnum around the mat, looked pretty domintae, then he gassed out got sloppy and got caught, once magnum laid on him dix just layed there waiting for ref 2 cal it a pin he did not even attemp to bridge or roll through he had nothing left But yea like i said the wrestler who has the better gas tank wins this match. if dix wouldnt have gassed he would have won the match hands down Mangum got the first take down, so dix was not dominating. He is obviously strong enough to pick up mangum but when he shot mangum snapped him down and score. Its really not that impressive picking a guy up and slam him twice its actually stupidy one it takes more energy and also tripping is just as effective. Dix-260 mangum-285, these guys both squat 500 pounds picking up 300 should be nothing. I can pick up mangum and im 147. Dix is definitely not bigger and stronger than mangum. Yes he is taller but mangum is built like a sh** brick house, if you look at both of them same time john is way more upper body. Also neither one of these guys should be able to hold the other down they are both too strong. Also on the dominating part mangum turned dix not once but twice before he stuck hiim and a pin is really not that dominating especially for heavys when ninety percent of their matches end in pin. Devildog, its obvious the mwc is the favorite to win and have better seeds than logan. Logan is also a 4a school which means they wrestle 4a schools so there record might not be that appealing on paper, and also they dont have common opponents which is really hard to seed guys so what you have to base their seeds off of is winning percentage. So most of their guys should have higher seedings if they did wrestle any conference school, and would kill every conference school because they have there good kids and their average kids through out. Its not like us small conference " hey freshmen you want to wrestle it will be a free varsity letter, and have 14 or 15 kids out for the team. Also your duel meet record doesnt mean jack going into the individuel tournament, how many studs on your team you have 3 guys with 30+ wins, the rest of the kids will be lucky to get fifth and sixth place finishes. and where in our case(pioneer) we have six studs on the team the most out of all the teams but you would think we win but it doesnt work that way cause of your fourth and third place finishes. In our case the more teams we have compete the better it is in our favor because our studs will still shine through and more points are dispersed

I know our heavy got beat at caston i wrestled then. If your heavy got beat by dix earlier in the season and then doesnt wrestle half the season and mangum beats dix at conference who was last year sectional champ and conference champ, logically they should both get the nod over him with dix having a better winning percentage and winning head to head, and mangum beating dix at conference but if culp dont make it past dietrich then it wont matter anyways ;D

Nethercutt had an injury, but he already beat masters this year like 6-4 something within 2-3 pts shultheiss stuck whitlock he got caught in a headlock
