  1. Rant all you want, there will be as many different opinions as there are people on the board.
  2. Who is Chambers and what school does he go to?
  3. Now THAT was uncalled for. Some of us weren't good enough to even make it to regionals. And I think I did alright as a coach.
  4. Team scores and undefeated wrestlers are now posted on the results page.

  6. Would the IHSAA sanction this? And would that match count towards the points used for a wrestlers max of 18?
  7. Mt. Vernon (Posey) is hosting a tournament on the 4th that includes (I think) Mater Dei, Southridge, Heritage Hills, and Pike Central.
  8. I don't know. Someone else will have to give you that info.
  9. I was given 4 MV wrestlers as being undefeated. Teddy wasn't one of them. Undefeated wrestlers that were reported to me at the end of the day are now posted over on the results page.
  10. Fatback beat me to the day 2 results so I'll just post the undefeated wrestlers. 14. Jeff Pancake- PCHS back in the 70's Anyone with the last name "Hammer"
  15. Just like to say I have no idea where this came from or why I'm on this list. When I clicked on the topic to read it, I thought I was going to be seeing posters I could hang on my wall.
  16. Mt. Vernon is NOT talking trash. Don't attribute a couple of posts to the town or the team. There was a question as to what was going on. I don't know where the rumor started or where MV watcher got his info but it needed to be checked out. The question has been answered. Central is sending their varsity down here on Friday and we're glad to have them.
  17. It's been many, many years since MD and MV have had a dual meet. Maybe not since Joe Gossman was the MD coach or shortly thereafter.
  18. Oops....my fault. As pathetic as my memory is, it's a wonder that I can remember that I was there last year.
  19. Your post seems to indicate that it was Mt. Vernon who allowed Mater Dei to put them into the Classic. I'd be willing to bet that's not the case. I know the MD coach wanted to keep the tourney to 16 teams. Unless he changed his mind, someone had to drop out for MV to get in it. And as far as coming to their senses, the Connersville Tournament is still a good tournament. Having been in on MV's inaugural trip to Connersville (and quite a few after that), I know that one of the few drawbacks is the travel time, which was app. 5 hours one way. To answer your question, some of the teams are (at least last year) Tell City, Vincennes, Gibson Southern, Union Co., Mt. Carmel, Nor. Posey, Memorial (all of whom MV already sees), MD, Franklin Comm., Sullivan, Lou. Trinity, New Albany, Floyd Central, Lou. St. Xavier, and a few others I've forgotten.
  20. Chuck retire? Never!! He'll be reffing when he's 90. The wheel chair and oxygen tank might get in the way some, but he'll never retire.
  21. TAE's great book Echoes of the Elder. Your one-stop shop for comprehensive Indiana wrestling info.
  22. Most of the discussions I've heard have been involving closing New Harmony and possibly North Posey then developing a Posey Co. High School. In addition, the only elimination in administration would be in the main office, going from 3 superintendants to one, 3 whatever elses they have to one, etc. Each school would still need probably the same no. of administrators.
