So you want people to complain about the luck of the draw? I dont see how that is productive. Yes it is unfortunate that they are on the same side but it happens every year. How else would you have the brackets done?

The 4th place finisher have proven to be able to win a 4 man mini tourney to get to state a couple of times but with out wrestle backs we do not know who the 4 best kids are that should be advancing. Would they make it with wrestle backs? How much does that luck of the draw play in to who gets to state and who stays home. Some quality kids that lost to a better wrestler but had beaten kids that made it to state earlier in the tournament series are staying home because they had bad luck. I would think more times than not with wrestle backs someone taking 4th from regionals would not make it to state. Remember that taking 4 to semi state was something that the coach community had not asked for but rather the ihsaa in their great wisdom told the wrestling community of Indiana that was needed. If we would only take 3 from regionals and have wrestle backs from the quarters on then the best 4 kids could move on. Then luck of the draw would be lessen greatly. Sadly I do not see this changing anytime soon with the current people in charge of the ihsaa.

Hawkins has lost twice to the same kid this year so you would have to throw Bradley from knox in there.

That doesn't sound like bad officiating that sounds like good officiating. Bad is when the call isnt reverse when clearly wrong. Bad is when stalling is called on the wrestler on bottom in a tied match with 10 secs left to give the kid the win in the first round of regionals with no wrestle backs that is a huge call to make. Before everyone tells me to go get my refs license I have already done that. How do we get better officiating for the tournament series.

The teams are LN, Carmel, BD, NC, WC, Center Grove, Terre Haute South and North and will be taking place at LN. Should be some great wrestling with a wide open team race.
