I wasn't going to comment but since my little brother got the story incorrect about his second oldest brother (me) I will clarify. During GYM class at our junior high in 7th and 8th grade we had two weeks of wrestling, both years the junior high wrestling coach (Coach Glass) urged me to join the wrestling team. Finally after the 8th grade two week session I agreed to wrestle AAU and if I placed in the top 6 in the state (Held In Bloomington then) I would wrestle my freshman year. Low and behold I placed 6th, never played organized basketball again and how glad I am!!!!

I vote for reserved seating!!! Reserved seating could be the bottom section the length of the suites, everything else general admission. I would gladly pay double to ensure I have the seats I want.

Wish we would not have...horrible day. Wrestling started at 11:00, for the second time in as many tournaments Greenwood accepted entries after the brackets had been set. I do not understand why publish "accepting email and fax weigh ins only" and in bold letters "wrestling will start at 9:00 am Sunday monring". You would have thought they would have learned their lesson after the disaster last month. Left Greenwood at 6:45 pm!!!

Taking the boy to the FW semi state, nice dinner, hotel, then wrestling at Homestead on Sunday. Anyone else doing the double?

I have not seen Jay County this year, but the Meska kid at 130 is 28-1

Is anyone aware of any Elementary Age wrestling camps? Would like to find one for a beginner ( 1 year expereince), if that is not available I would look into others. Thanks

We have a few wrestlers in the Pee Wee to Intermediate levels where the club coach will not be present at Freestyle State, how is it possible for a person to coach a 5, 6, 7 or 8 old without a Copper certification?

Vanskyock, as much as I would love to see Casey in the finals, the only way I see it possible is if Brooks does beat Eppert. I know Casey and his family and hope he is under the lights. But I have 119 as follows. Wright Brooks Kenney Johns Eppert Bevans Raley Bradley See you all Friday night and Saturday!!!!!

If going 67 to 27, make a left right before Walmart in Portland, that will take you to the north side of Portland, save you maybe five minutes by missing a few lights.

On the home page it says in the Jimtown Regional review that Beck is the favorite at 112 and Barroquillo the favorite at 119, but last year Beck was not at the Fort Wayne semi state and Barroquillo was at 103. And Beck was at Conseco, did the semi state feeders change?

Why doesn't Casey Kenny get any love on this board? 30-1 with the lone loss to Eppert 7-4, and one loss last year to Raley who hasn't lost in his two high school years. Being a former Patriot now living in Yorktown and following both teams, also give some love to Yorktowns Devan Jackson.

I am predicting Jay as the winner, and after losing to Eppert last weekend 7-4, Kenny in an upset 5-4

They best wrestlers to never make would be the ones back when they took two from Sectional and Regional and three from SS, many top five wrestlers never made it out of the regional. Blind draw, two top fives met in the semi finals, while a sectional runner up that lost to one of the top five wrestlers would move on.
