  1. The kid from North Posey was Chase Akers. He should have done something his junior year as well when he had Case Hooper of LN (returning State Champ) stuck on Friday night for what seemed to be forever but didn't get the call.
  2. I believe Nick hit that tilt in the semi's to go to the finals, maybe it was in the quarter's but almost positive it was in the semi's.
  3. It's final I have talked to a coach from that sectional. Wright is #2 and Keiffer is #3.
  4. I guess not, I thought so too. You have two kids wrestle in the 1st round and 1 of them loses and they are out. Then you have a FF wrestling a bye and the FF advances to the next round. That means the FF is going to be ahead an actuall wrestler.
  5. at shelbyville sectional there are several weight classes that are going to have FF place ahead of an actual kid
  6. returning sectional runner-up from shelbyville....
  7. not the Shelbyville sectional.... they were trying to figure out if Wright should be seed #1, which he wasn't. He was a number 2 and keiffer was 3.
  8. Spencer Hays from Center Grove was the champ at 145
  9. any predictions on match ups? I have not seen the Irish at all this season and didn't know what they looked like after losing a few kids last year.
  10. the Center Grove kid broke his arm during the takedown.
  11. Most people will say Eppert, tsirtis, Chalfant, or Runyan and I can't argue with any of them.... mine is Shelby Mappes, I'm being bias but Shelby is a great kid, student, and wrestler. You can't ask for a better kid to coach. He works hard and will do anything you tell him to do. Thanks for all the memories Shelby!
  12. Did they wrestle and if so any updates
  13. Being a coach at CG I have to say I don't know exactly why Shea didn't come out. Nor do I or any of the other coaches really care. Wrestling was here before him and will be here after him. The freshmen (2 of them) that we are stuck with are doing a good job. These kids are doing a great job in the room, working their butts off, and getting better every time they get on the mat. I'm not trying to argue or say anything to upset anyone but if our kids do get on here I just want them to know that we are proud of their work ethics and attitudes. Both of these freshmen will make some noise down the road!
  14. Blake, you are a great kid. I'm sorry about your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Josh Sabik and Center Grove Wrestling
  15. Yeah my bad. I was on the phone with another coach talking about the Quiroga vs. Harper match when I typed that. Sorry about that one
  16. I am an Assistant Coach at Center Grove and we love the tournament. There isn't a better tournament in the state other than that one they hold down at Conseco. We can't wait to get back there next year. We really appriciate the invite and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. The wrestling was great. Every team there had kids that really impressed and you can not get the competion that this tournament gives you anywhere else. Thanks to the Cavemen and Coach Harper for putting on a great tournament and to everyone else for bring such great kids to this meet. Now I know why I have been wanting to get a team in this tournament for so long. Good luck to all the rest of the season Josh Sabik Center Grove Wrestling
