  1. Howe makes the challenge tournament 3rd place match after mounting a 2nd period comeback against high school stud Valencia. Valencia's "no fear" approach against much more seasoned senior level guys will make him someone to watch for in next the Olympic cycle.
  2. Humphrey will have Dan Dennis in World Team Trial Finals. Hildebrandt edges out Miracle in a back and forth match to move to the 3rd place match of the challenge tournament. In the premier WTT weight class Dake's solid win over Taylor will given him another crack at Burroughs in finals.
  3. Dake wins a close one over Howe due to his slick takedown defense. He will get Taylor in challenge match finals with winner to takedown Burroughs. That leaves Humphrey as the last IN wrestler left with a world team chance. He won't wrestle until tonight's best of 3 series.
  4. Hildebrandt still unable to find a way past Maroulis.
  5. Hildebrandt in semis vs Maroulis. Miracle lost in quarterfinals. Howe is semis vs Dake.
  6. Humphreys will await the winner of the Challenge tournament for his weight. And NBC Sports Channel/Universal Network will show the Team Trial finals tonight at 6:30. I wouls assume at lest most of today's finals with possibly some highlights from yesterday's best of 3 competition.
  7. Escobedo beats Simmons but lost in challenge tournament finals to Joe Colon.
  8. Micic Post Tournament Interview http://www.flowrestling.org/coverage/252179-2015-World-Team-Trials/video/771925-Micic-Stayed-With-Fundamentals#.VXxc-1L3anM
  9. Indiana's Freestyle team will face Virginia in the finals of the Bronze/Copper group for 9th place out of the 32 team event. Not a bad recovery on day two after a few tough breaks in close day one meets keep them out of the Gold/Silver group.
  10. Senior Day 1 Escobedo makes semi-finals of challenge tournament vs. Simmons.
  11. Good to hear (the placement not the circumstances). I believe top 3 traditionally are invited to the additional training camps and are sometimes asked to attend some of the other overseas competitions.
  12. Indiana falls to Oklahoma to end up in the Bronze/Copper Pool for Saturday.
  13. Micic over Fix in two straight to make the Junior World team. Lefever battles back to take 3rd in the challenge tournament.
  14. Lefever falls in the semi-finals. Micic makes the best of 3 championship vs. Fix.
  15. Junior Division Riley Lefever in the semi-finals of the challenge tournament. He will have a very tough Chandler Rodgers next. Micic just won to make the finals of the challenge tournament. He gets Jack Muller next with the winner advancing to face Daton Fix in the best of 3 finals. Fix surprised many by beating Micic in the Junior Open finals.
  16. Nice redemption by the Greco squad who lost yesterday to Oklahoma in their pool competition by 15pts.
  17. No qualifier necessary for Greco so it maybe more like not relevant. So only complaint you maybe able to muster here is Indiana on going lack of Greco interest. You may as well save the qualifier talk up until freestyle starts. Cadet Greco team currently in a battle for 3rd place in their pool.
  18. A few Indiana guys shifted up or down with Flo's recent update. The biggest rankings climbers from IN were Rypel into #2 spot at 195 and Woods to #5 at 220.
  19. Tsirtsis losses in finals of University division 6-1 to Collica of OK State.
  20. Here's a posting of some of the Day 1 Team results. Indiana High Rollers look to be doing well based on what's listed. http://www.flowrestling.org/coverage/252175-2015-NHSCA-National-Duals/article/31674-NHSCA-National-Duals-Day-1-Results#.VWHVoVL3anM You can also filter through this information to find specific team results. http://teamduals.gimpsoftware.com/2015_NHSCADuals_HS_10.htm
  21. Strange, I was just trying to look that one up last night. Guess I was a day off on my timing. Nice job Chad Red with being selected to the 2nd Team. Without a decisive head to head match the selection committee often tends to lean a little towards the senior side of thing when making some 1st team decisions, but, but still a good honor for him.
  22. I believe Ohio has two different boards that both have a decent level of wresting coverage.
  23. Humphrey wins Open with a 7-6 win over Maples.
  24. I see that Metcalf put a 10-0 hurting on the notorious "Donnie" Baker in the first round today. I guess all that extra training is why we didn't hear much from him this season. So now Ol' Donnie can get back to worrying about his boat.
