  2. yo dingo...hit me up with your email (for some reason I can't find it). John sent me some rosters that I want to forward to you so you can put them up. Kolat protege Chance Marsteller from PA is going to be here...that is going to be sweet! I tried to send you a pm but it said your inbox was full

  4. Chuck, is Cubby Bear going to be back this year? Lol
  5. I'm really excited about Jr WTTs being held at Franklin. I'm not privy to such things....how did an event like that move from Colorado Springs to Franklin? I understand moving the event to a new venue but Franklin? No disrespect at all just curious.
  6. I'm coming up Friday morning JD. I only live about 30 minutes South of Wabash so it will be a short trip.
  7. Thanks for the rosters JD...I'm looking forward to seeing you again this year! It should be a great few days of wrestling.
  8. That is a great story Navy! He is a tremendous young man...he also just finished up a Chiropractic degree from Palmer a little over a month ago.
  9. Huge Congrats Chad! Looking forward to seeing you, your brother and Stein in W. Lafayette! Back to my sidenote from earlier....Ryan Pribble's 140 Brody Grothus ended up 3rd recording 4 falls and a 9-0 major. He took 6 kids total from Davenport Assumption and brought home 3 AA's! Not too shabby!
  10. The NWCA Scholastic Duals are just over 10 days away. I was wondering who will be representing the Indiana teams and who the coaches are? Thanks!

  12. So did Mitch actually wrestle his 3rd/4th place match or did he just inj. def out? If he did wrestle then what was the score when he def. and what was the injury (and severity)? or...was he injured in his match with Goebel and if so what was the injury (severity)? Thanks! It is just hard to imagine that he would have lost to Harvey since he tech'd him earlier in the tournament 18-3.
  13. On a sidenote, an Indiana State champ Ryan Pribble (Turkey Run) is coaching Brody Grothus a 140 from Davenport Assumption, Iowa at Senior Nationals. Grothus dropped a close match to Blake Roulo (Virginia) but is still alive in consis. Davenport Assumption also won the individual and team state championship in Iowa this past season.
  14. Thanks for all of the updates everyone! James Green has signed with Nebraska so perhaps we will see them tangle several more times in the future since they are in the Big Ten now.
  15. ...if we will see a transfer from Wright, MJJ, or Chalfant? ...how Brock Norton is recuperating and if we will see him on the mat again? ...where Ethan Raley is going to wrestle at in college? ... if we will see any elite Indiana wrestlers step back on the mat after some time away? ...if Andrew is planning on taking an Olympic Shirt?
  16. While the event serves as one of the regional qualifiers for the annual World Team Trials, much of the buzz around the event centered around the entry of current Penn State head wrestling coach and 2004 Olympic Champion Cael Sanderson. Sanderson didn?t give up a point in three victories at 96kg/211 pounds beating Richard Perry of the Husky Wrestling Club 8-0, 6-0 and GVWC?s Travis Taylor 7-0, 6-0 before beating Jack Jensen of Gator 6-0, 6-0 in the final. Jensen was a 2008 All-American for Oklahoma State and recently served as an assitant coach at North Carolina. Sanderson said the tournament was ?just for fun.? But for other Nittany Lion Wrestling Club members, it was about making a statement in qualifying for the World Team Trials. Complete results... http://www.themat.com/article.php?ArticleID=23395
  17. As far as Dake goes, when Spates asked him "what did you think when he chose down" and Kyle responded "what an idiot" , I'm pretty sure almost everyone in attendance was thinking the exact same thing except for Frank. Even "the tanks" coaches were befuddled by his decision. Dake rode him for over 6 minutes in a match that lasts 7. As far as Bubba goes...I'm still smiling! Also I will be letting all of you know soon about a great new internet radio wrestling show that will be unveiled soon from TheOpenMat.....trust me it is relevant to the thread.

  21. Several Hoosiers are mentioned here... http://news.theopenmat.com/2011/03/nhsca%E2%80%99s-senior-national-preseeds/
  22. IU finished in 25th place at Nationals scoring 23.5pts and PU finished in 39th place at Nationals scoring 9 pts....Purdue was in a three way tie with Columbia and Buffalo.
  23. Both squad lost several starters from their roster....what do you folks think the line-ups will look like next season? Purdue lost... Akif, Patacsil, Salazar, Manuel, Brown, and Pisarcik. IU lost.... Kinser, Warren, Young, Manuel, Cameron, and Alcala.
  24. Howes opponent DesRoches from Cal Poly was seeded first in the Pac-10 Championships but didn't have a good tourny....he made NAtionals via Wildcard... Coach Perry has done a great job with him. Check out this site for updated brackets they are doing great and in real time... http://www.pennstatewrestlingclub.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=fc89b
