  1. It's a shame this topic is being used as a battleground so I'll just add my 2 cents worth. From what little I know about wrestling -- when I see wrestlers on their feet they seem to be doing a lot of dancing and the scores come when they are on the mat. A proud Gma.
  2. Gma is proud of you Chad. Great job. #1
  3. wrrick county friends -- heard that Beef O Bradys in Newburgh is showing the telecast tonight on the finals of nationals wrestling.
  4. Doug will injury default today due to elbow hyper-extension. He did qualify for All-American by being in the top 8. Congrats Doug. Chad will wrestle this evening in the finals.
  5. Green quick take-down, Doug escaape, 2nd period Green down no score. 3rd period Doug down, escape received penalty point for locked hands on Green, then Green got a take-down. Doug close to an escape, match over. Score 3-4. Green was #2 seed. I believe he beat Roach and Irvine.
  6. Doug lost a tough one to Green NJ. He will come back in consolations. Chad and Drake won. Goldman getting close to wrestling -- 2 matches away. Let's keep going southern Indiana. You are great.
  7. Doug Welch has Green from NJ, Chad -- Krumm from ND, Drake has Hargrove from WA and Goldman has Johnston from MD. Let's have a good day for the boys from Indiana.
  8. Doug won 11-3. Drake won 8-6. Chad 9 matches away from wrestling.
  9. Drake Stein 18-4 against Meekins MD. Go Drake!!!
  10. Doug and Chad Bye first round. Drake getting ready to wrestle. Grammy
  11. Doug and Chad Welch and Drake Stein are here in Virginia Beach wrestling this wee-end. Anyone else from indiana? I will try to keep you up-dated. We wish them well.
  12. All 3 Welches come in with a first place from semi-state.
  13. Congrats Drake Stein and also to your family. Watch over my boys next yearat Purdue. They need a positive influence. Have a great year. Gma Welch
  14. From a proud grandma, congratulations to Doug Welch and John Sims for representing southern Indiana. Thanks to Brandon Taylor for going with them and coaching. Thanks also to those who made the tournament possible. It was a great experience for these boys and new friends were made. Two grandpas from the area had a great time.
