  1. Less than three weeks away. Should be some really good matches to kick off the season. I think it is at Perry this year. Are there any matchups out their that people are looking forward to? Obviously Perry is the clear favorite, but should be a lot great competition. The schools are Perry Meridian, Bloomington North, Jefferesonville, Columbus North, Warren Central, Franklin Central, Speedway, and Beech Grove. I know this is a seeded tournament. How are the wrestlers seeded for this? Is there an actual seeding meeting or what? Thanks can't wait for the 1st day of practice today!
  2. I got this movie from the Redbox last night. I actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Definetely worth the $1 I paid to rent it. I got to say John Cena is a freaking beast. It is a little ridiculous.
  3. I don't know about Flowrestling, but all the match results are on trackwrestling.com
  4. The freestyle team is 3-1 today, they are currently wrestling Pennsylvania. Keep up the good work guys!
  5. This may have already been covered but do the Junior Duals coincide or interfere with the Disney Duals?
  6. Franklin Community - Bryce Hasseman or Aaron Clark Indian Creek - Ethan Raley Turkey Run - Ryan Pribble Center Grove - Jay Yates or Joey Strausburg or Jeremy Van Alstyne
  7. Whiteland Community High School- Has had some standouts in recent history, the ones that stands out the most would be. Jason Fryar - State Champ Chris Cooper- SQ, State Champ (beat Bedoy and Dolly that year) Clint Palmore - 6th, State Champ (Beat Macke in the finals) Matt Fields - 8th, 5th, State Champ (Beat Taylor March in the finals) They have had other placers and qualifiers, but these have to be at the top of the list.
  8. Eric Kerkoff was a stud for Delta, I am not sure of all his High School accomplishments.
  9. I agree 171 was def. the toughest and deepest weight class. There were a lot of quality matches in that weight all day. Congrats to Mitchell on wrestling tough all day and finishing 2nd. He wrestled Vhalos very well. Congrats to everyone qualifying for Fargo this past weekend.
  10. I am glad he is doing well and we all hope he make a full and healthy recovery. We also had an injury to one of our high school wrestlers. Mitchell Judkins of Speedway won his first match but suffered a severe concussion, a small fracture in his eye socket, and was later determined he has blood on his brain which has now disappated. He is recovering and is doing well. I would like to thank the trainers on site for doing a great job with him.
  11. I had a couple questions about weigh ins for the folkstyle state this weekend. If anyone could help that would be great. If a wrestler does not make the weight he registered at does he just bump up to the next weight class? Are weigh ins done the same as in high school where you get one shot to weigh in and thats it or can a wrestler check their weight and lets say they are 1/2 pound over they can go run or whatever and come back and try it again since their is a 2 hour weigh in window. Thanks
  12. Hey Mark I think I have some video of me beating you in our first ULC trip in Pennslyvania. I think I can did it up if u want.
  13. Thanks that helps! Is the card only good for one year or is there a way to renew it? It would seem silly to do that course every year.
  14. I recently completed the Copper Card Certification using the online course provided through ASEP and themat.com. Has anyone else done it this way. Will I recieve card or verification to print that will be sufficient to show that I certified for state level tournaments? Thanks for any help on this
  15. My favorite moment was watching my brother Chris Cooper win a state championship in '02. He was definitely not the favorite but he knocked off Dolly in the semis and Bedoy in the finals. I don't think I have ever been that nervous watching wrestling.
  16. 103 Phillips, Farrell, Venezia, Moss 112 Campbell, Harvey, Todd, Price 119 Nelson, Kieffer, Catron, Tran 125 Wright, Keiffer, Simmons, Sommer 130 Mullins, Clark, Stringfield, Bell 135 Berryman, Rose, Black, Davis 140 Fellers, Johnson, Scurria, James 145 Robinson, Hoggatt, Johnson, Uphaus 152 Bennett, Neibarger, Taylor, Hawthorne 160 Willis, Oliver, Von Wasson, Anderson 171 Duckworth, Smith, Judkins, Howenstein 189 Johnson Jones, Komilov, Sliga, Richards 215 Wright, Cooper, Buchanon, Pedigo 285 McBride, Henson, Gray, Taylor
  17. The IHSAA released the draws not Y2. Yeah obviously it would of been better to wait to release the draw until the conclusion of the Richmond Regional. It is out now so there isn't much we can do about it. Everyone still has to go out and compete and I don't think this is going to have an detrimental effect on the state tournament series. I don't think redrawing the brackets would be a good idea either. Then your going to have people complaining that their orginal placement and draw was comprimised. Sometimes we just have to play the cards we are dealt. Good luck at Richmond tonight and good luck to all the wrestlers competing at NC Saturday.
  18. I like Hawthorne from Crispus Attucks. He seems to have improved a lot since last year. He didn't give Tonte anything, but I think he has a solid chance of taking it this weekend.

  20. Geez you will have Brandt as a #1, Goldman will probably be a #1 from his regional, Browner will be a #1 from his regional, then you have Stein, Weiss, and Boots all in the same regional. Their could be some interesting ticket round match ups and a couple guys deserving of going to Conseco are going home.
  21. I still haven't seen any results from the MIC anywhere.
  22. I made post on the openings page but if anyone has opening for a triple, quad, super duel, or tournament before sectional time could you contact me. Dates not available: Jan. 12 Jan. 16 Jan. 19 Tim Cooper Speedway Wrestling tcooper145@yahoo.com
  23. Yep and we still have one more brother to go, granted he is only 6 so it is going to take awhile before he starts tacking on some wins.
  24. Who is all there? Jennings seems to be having a really good year. What weight is he going come sectional time, I have seen him ranked at 152 but wrestling 160 most of year?
  25. Dave Thompson - Whiteland Jason Fryar HWT Chris Cooper 160 Clint Palmore 119 Matt Fields 119
