  1. Ohio U is a bigtime D1 program, good luck to Michael
  2. I dont know if I'd say 171 is weak, there are some pretty good guys out there. As far as Vlahos going 171, is that for sure? He would have a pretty tough customer in his own sectional and conference named Cheney Dale. I'd be surprised to see both these guys at 171, since they're practically neighbors. Not sure but they might even wrestle in a dual or early season tournament. I know the ranking have Dale at 160, but didnt he wrestle the preseason nats at 171?
  3. 171 is weak this year, Vlahos proved himself this year in freestyle 2nd Greco 1st and for Team Indiana I dont know if I'd say 171 is weak, there are some pretty good guys out there. 4. Drake Stein won't be at 152 this year, he was @ 189 just last weekend.
  5. I understand that it is the tournaments decision on age requirements, not the ISWA. Thanks for correcting the birthyear thing to 98. I was going to say if a 5th grader has a 1997 birthday, they have other things to worry about rather than wrestling, like grades.
  6. I was looking at the tournament info and noticed it was for grades K-5 birth year 97 or later. How can it be okay for a 5th grader with a birthdate of 97, but not a 6th or 7th grader? Does there physical size and strength change with grade? Most 6th graders and alot of 7th graders have birthdates of 1997, how can a 5th grader have a birthdate of 97? I understand that 7th graders are involved in middle school and this might disqualify them, but why wouldnt the 6th graders be allowed?
  7. Is anybody going to Bloomington next weekend for this tournament? It seemed the numbers were small at trackwrestling.
  8. Now that freestyle is over with, are open rooms and rtc's still going on? Thanks.
  9. If you qualified in the top 3 at an ISWA tournment, the ISWA website says you will be automaticaly registered for state. This means you have to do nothing? This is for the Junior age group. Any help?
  10. Can someone help me out? A while ago somebody posted a website that had a list of colleges with wrestling. I cannot seem to find it now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  11. Are there any good commuter camps coming this summer to the Indy area?
  12. Does anybody know if any network will be reshowing the NCAA Finals? My dvr did not record and I am pi*&ed! Thanks for any help.
  13. Yeah Metcalf is a given for Iowa, Reese will have his hands full, Jaggers has a good chance, but Pucillo will get beat. Sorry OSU.
  14. Tuxedo singlests were pretty bad, Runyan's throwback was cool. Warren Centrals were neat also.
  15. Sorry to say, the draw can be the difference between getting to the finals or not. Duckworth and Atwood are both great wrestlers, but Atwood should go all the way.
  16. Will not pick on any tournament specifically, but will pick on all of them, As time goes on tournaments seem to be getting longer and longer. Maybe this is a good thing because more kids might be getting involved however for those that have been going a few years it is getting intolerable. The little kids matches take forever. It'll never happen but it'd be great to have tournaments for pee-wees, bantams and intermediates separate from novices and up. Just dreaming.
  17. Not to bash any other semistate, but I honestly believe that in the bigger weight classes (152 and above) that Evansville is very loaded. Cant say how many state champs will come out of Evansville but look how good top to bottom the brackets are. Some really good wrestlers will not be going on cause they meet in the first two rounds. Evansville might not have the Atwoods , Shrewsbury's and Myers but I think the brackets are tougher top to bottom (deeper) than some semistates.
  18. Hacker losing to Hill 1st round M'ville
