  1. Of all the things to overturn, that's probably the most innocent.
  2. Yeah, the forums are about the only thinking working after the server switch, it takes a while for everything to be accessible.
  3. Thanks, I can always count on the Adams and Wells county sources to come through.
  4. I'm not getting any video or audio at all.
  5. What time do the finals start at Fort Wayne? I have to go celebrate my sister's birthday, I want to make sure I make it by the finals at the latest.
  6. I've said it before, I've never met anyone from Ohio, Michigan, or Illinois who didn't like classed wrestling. It gets more people involved, builds more pride in small schools, and at the same time doesn't hurt the big schools. It also makes more money for the schools and the IHSAA. Besides the "I hate change" sentiment, I'm not sure what the argument against it is. Is there data to back up classing hurting participation and revenue?
  7. Maybe it's just me, but taking pride in your school and supporting your team seems like a good thing to me. I always loved the atmosphere of all those people there cheering on their wrestlers and the suspense of the first 2 rounds. The finals were always amazing too. It's almost worth the long drive to go back and see it again.
  8. I liked that during some of the heated debates I asked what actual evidence there was for one point over the other rather than just emotion and instantly got a bunch of boos. I think that's how you know you're on to something, when people hate you.
  9. Sounds a lot like the premise of a LEGENDARY wrestling movie. A man on a quest to beat the unbeatable.
  10. I was 2 or 3 (maybe younger, who knows) and I went with my mom to watch my dad coaching. I was sold from then on out.
  11. Here are the latest D1 rankings, the Big 12 has more #1 ranked wrestlers than the Big 10. Hopefully they Big 10 pulls out more AAs though. http://www.ncaa.com/news/wrestling/2011-02-11/coaches-rankings-rpi-released
  12. How many of those have you had wrestlers competing? I'm sure that's another impressive stat.
  13. I started going when I was 6, what got you in to going young as well?
  14. If it makes you feel better this will be my first in a suite. Circle of life and all that...
  15. I agree with this, go to Ohio and see how many small communities love wrestling. The more people you can get involved the better it is for the sport. If we have 2-3x as many people involved in state level competition that might encourage more people to go get involved in regional and national events outside of the regular season. It also gets more kids encouraged about wrestling in college and keeps the sport healthy. I just don't understand the arguments against classing that say it's better for the sport. What's a state that classed and it hurt the popularity?
  16. Wow! That's very cool, what was the best year for you?
  17. I've got a box of all my tickets and handwritten programs at my parents' house, I always loved writing in the results, made me feel important when I was little. In 18 years I probably saw you at some point too.
  18. He can come too! I started going in Kindergarten, get him started young. I hear they're pretty good at ankle picks when they're young.
  19. I'm prepping for my 20th year of going to State and was thinking back to the great years at Market Square Arena and lunches with my dad at Market Square. How many years have you been going consecutively and what are your best memories? One that sticks out to me is seeing Vega win his titles and thinking "That's who I want to be some day." He was small but was dominant.
  20. I must have been thinking how incredible that many was. It would be incredible for a team to get all 14 though.
  21. Bellmont definitely had the hardest road to get there, they match up pretty closely to Penn as well.
  22. I think so, it seems like '03 or '04, right around my senior year.
  23. Wow, that's a mental image I never needed. But definitely POTY worthy.
