  1. Roncalli vs Perry Saturday. Also Avon and Greenfield Central at PM
  2. Perry Meridian wrestling will miss John. He was a good friend for many years. After meets he officiated he used to go out to eat with the coaching staff at Schneiders and order his favorite bowl of bean soup. I will save your seat for you John and order a bowl of bean soup in your honor. RIP Jimmy
  3. The Falcon wrestling team will have it's annual intersquad meet in the main gym this upcoming Tuesday.
  4. I can think of several teams just in Marion County alone. Wrestling has gotten so tough around here again and I credit the work ethic of the coaches in this area and their athletes. Great job on getting the County back to where it once was. And, thats not counting all the other stud teams around the state who have a legitimate shot with 4 or 5 very talented kids. Coach Tonte
  5. Perry Meridian Middle is once again going to open up its middle school wrestling camp to outside schools. The clinic is one day, Tuesday June 5th, from 12:30 to 7:30 at Perry High School wrestling room with 3 wrestling sessions, an obstacle course, and other activities. The cost is $15. This would be a great chance for those wanting a last chance workout before Schoolboy duals. The clinic is for incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders and advanced 4th and 5th graders. Please email Coach Richardson at srichardson@perryschools.org if you are interested so he can get an idea of how many shirts to order.
  6. Perry is open 6-730 every tuesday except for next tuesday(22nd) due to finals week at Perry.
  7. Tonights practice will be a good hard practice to prepare for freestyle state. Lots of hard drill and live. Be prepared to work.
  8. Zach, call me. We have a coach close by you may want to talk to.
  9. This Tuesday, Perry's own state champ Nick Walpole will be running RTC. Nick was a 4 time state qualifier, 3 time placewinner and a State champ. At IU he wrestled Varsity off and on and was a pin master for the Hoosiers. He moved back home and won an NCAA title for University of Indianapolis. Nick is now the head coach for Decatur Central. RTC is from 6:30-8 pm.
  10. What an awesome clinic. Great job Creighton. He gave some great motivational material and how to work the mental side as well as the physical. But his drills were even better. Great guy great clinician and great job IHSWCA. Coach Tonte

  13. Exactly Karl. In fact some are not bending the rules they are flat out breaking the rules. I have been told that the IHSAA was fielding lots of phone calls late in the season about certain kids from certain programs practicing with other programs on Sundays. These kinds of rules infractions looks bad for Indiana High School coaches in the eyes of the IHSAA.

  16. PM RTC closes at 7pm. will wrestle live until 7 tonight! Sorry for late notice.
  17. Steve, congrats on your years of service. You have been a great role model for the sport of wrestling. Jim Tonte
  18. I could think of 5 or 6 drop/changes/additions to schedules just off the top of my head from last year and I am one guy and it took me about 5 seconds to think of some local schools around my area who made changes. I am certain this happens every year in many schools since we have over 300 that wrestle. Yes, this may not be the easiest thing to do but who said making things better, getting better...was ever easy.
  19. 4x State Qualifier, State Runner-Up Junior year, Undefeated State ChampSenior year, Indiana Triple Crown Winner as a Senior, 2x Fargo All-American, FILA Cadet Runner-Up, Cliff Keen High School All-American , and a 4x letterman at IU. Practice starts at 6:30-around 8
  20. Congrats Zach. I want to say for an official to be this high level, I have always found Zach to be very approachable and very helpful with the coaches in Indiana. Great job, London's calling. Coach Tonte
  21. Apparently Goosey is an 8th grader who may or may not be from Perry but here is what I am going to tell you if you are from PM. Get off the website or your Goose wont be loose it will be caught and your goose will be cooked. I love the loyalty and the support for what we believe in but here is what I want to tell you-its better to crawl in the grass and sneak attack than to run right down the middle of your enemy yelling aaaaaaahhhhhhh look at me, while they fire bullets at you from all directions. Get it!!
  22. Wow, great job Nick Hull this week and great job to Michael Weimer last week. Last night we had over 100 kids in the room.
