  5. 3X All-American Chris Fleeger from Purdue will be at the Perry Meridian RTC on April 21st.
  6. PM has some studs at 103-Jared Mckinnley(state qualifier), 125-Kirk Johnson(semi state qualifer and all american at Virginia Beach), 189-Andre Richards( Semi State qualifier and all american at Virginia Beach)- Great years for these young men. Throw in freshman county champs, Andrew Bova(171), CJ Martin(145), and Tracii Doolin(215) as well as 9th County runner ups Mason Deal(130) and Van Burroughs (135)to go along with Jordan Naugton(215) who finished second at Virginia Beach and we can see a bright future for PM Wrestling.

  8. Thanks for the support. As far as facilities, not sure where that is coming from. Plenty of space for near 300 wrestlers for a friday night greco. Yes, I said near 300 for a local greco tournament. The facility is the same one that you visited a few years back. Did you think they rebuilt the building? As far as officials, the top dogs don't even have the rules down yet for Greco. We had 5 blue shirts on 7 surfaces. The same people who will be at state, so good luck. In fact, we were informed this AM that one of the rules posted changed since last night. Greco is ever changing with the new rules. If you know the greco rules please state them so that I can see where you had a problem. As far as problems, mistakes were made by having weigh ins on friday night. That will not happen again. All faxed. Lets check some numbers. About a 5 hour tournament for about 300 wrestlers. Most locals on saturday have been around that amount. So, if a tournament started at 9 am(which they never do) on a saturday it would have been done at 2 pm. Not too bad. As always, we understand frustrations if things don't go your way. We hope to better accomadate you in the future. I would say, it started 45 mins. later than it should have but if you are old school back before people got spoiled by mat side pairing....you remember the days of starting at 9 am at Tech and being done past midnight. Man, those were the days and there was no website.
  9. I have read the book to my son's and they loved it. Joe Reasbeck will be at PM all weekend for a book signing. Our Guest is coming in from Austin, Texas and he wrestled at the University of Minnesota for J. and trained for the 1996 Olympics. He was at our tournament last year, but since that time "NearFall" has become a best seller in sports fiction for kids and young adults. He will be there through the duration of the tournament to do a book signing. For those unfamiliar with the book...NearFall is a 4-book series following the lives of two brothers as they work their way up in wrestling and life. Basically, it's like Rocky for wrestlers....the second book in the series will be coming out soon!
