Yes I do. And your point? Not all teams that make it to Team State will be 5A. I think I made that clear. Good Luck to Bellmont. I totally respect their program. Bellmonts history goes beyond the current team state format. I 'll do some research on that. At my age my memory is fading.

OK -- I'll Guess it will be either a 5A School,Private School(Probably Catholic), a team that had some lucky mysterious move-ins or a team just lucky enough to come through the Peru Regional or a combination of any of these. Lawrence North,Penn,Yorktown,Delphi and Roncalli.

OOPS ! Bad Math 32-25 CP I forgot to take away points I had given CP in worse case scenario for Perry. I am not saying Perry could not win. Just by the numbers it, and these are your rankings numbers, appears unlikely. Three pins and two majors for CP.

I don't know? I tried to give Perry every edge I could and the best I could come up with was 7-7 in match wins with CP getting more bonus points. The best I could come up with is 41-25 CP

Does anyone see what I see? Might just be fitting if they end up on the same side of the bracket.Unfortunately there would be one "unlucky" 3A school who would be stuck on that side also. I won't guess who that should be ?

Since this is a dual team format, there could be some change ups. How about #4 Luke Welch vs #5 Cody Lacount? Maybe a good test for Cody before he goes into that meat grinder at New Castle? I have not seen Luke Wrestle but if he has the same skills as his brothers , this would be a great match up.

At the highest level of wrestling competition, I would have to go with defense. You have to be able to defend the shots and leg attacks against superior athletes or you are more likely to be defeated. If you are looking to have fun and create more excitement then offense is what you are looking at and it might appear that this is what wins matches. But I say good defense wins big matches. Defensive wrestling is just boring. We all love to see action. What Nickster says is true because offense is more second nature and we develop this from pee wee on. You can beat 95% of the high school comp with over powering offense. Most high school kids never really fully develop a complete understanding of the sport. At the college level this changes. You have to develop both offense and defense. It is at this point defense becomes the focus of development. The offense is already in place. The best example just happened last week at the Midlands.

At the Super 32 Ethan stunned the national gurus by beating three state champs in a row. He then beat some nationally ranked stud in the championship match to put an exclamation point on his arrival. This kid is tough as nails. This is a great match up but Ethan is the clear favorite.

The Tournament to top all tournaments. No matter who you face . You better lace them up tight. This show can make a rookie into a future champion. No place for the timid and weak of heart. I feel very lucky to be a part of this great event. While most people are looking forward to Christmas, I am looking ahead to the Al Smith. I must be crazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They did not have an off day. Let me qualify that. "In my opinion" . This is a very good Perry Team but not over powering. The Holiday Tournament At North Montgomery will not give them enough of a challenge. We will have to wait and see how they do at the Bellmont Duals in January. They are always a better dual team. This is true by design.

??? ??? ??? Unfair Advantage?? Isn't that what seeding meetings are suppose to eliminate? A certain amount of rankings is arbitrary because not everyone participates in that process. That is why I tell my kids never underestimate your opponent and respect everyone you face. I understand a coaches need for his kid to avoid certain kids early for a multitude of reasons and I think this is what you are trying to do as a good coach. On the other side,though this is what makes seeding meetings too tedious forcing directors to move them along with more straight forward criteria. -
Go Perry!!!!! ;D Hell What do I know? If they are as good as Mish was last year you will find me hanging from the rafters at Center Grove on February 26th. Maybe we should ask the Big Hawaiian. He seems pretty smart. I have not seen CP wrestle so you may be right about them dominating. The comparison to Mishawaka 2010?? NO Way Remember this is a disscusion. No insults PLEASE!!

I do not get this. Who are these Perry haters ??? ??? Hate is a pretty strong word. Enemies of the Evil Empire, maybe Pretty hard to get rid of your target and that should be a good thing. Competition is what it is. Take it or leave it. I think I would take it. Stay cool boys and just keep winning. You just might win that State Title this year !

Yes, there is clearly no dominate team. You might define this as a year of opportunity. He who works the hardest and stays healthy should have the best chance. We should weigh in on this after the weight allowance and again at the end of the regular season. Who will rise to the occasion and who will fizzle?? I would love to see a " dark horse". It is 43 days and counting until Sectional weekend. In the wrestling world that is a long time. The Race is on. GOOD LUCK everyone.

First let me say I agree with Y2 that this is nonsense to intentionally keep this top secret. More silly gamesmanship ? On the other hand this can be a ...hit load of work sometimes when you are a two finger typer like me. Coaches need to assign this duty to the managers. I believe that in the NCAA the coaches are required to report statstics. Could be the same way in High School? You can not grow plants in the dark ! You will not grow this sport by hiding it so you can gain some mythical advantage.

I agree !!This was a dog fight to the end and could have gone either way. I felt Dolly wrestled a little better but just could not come up with the win. No real loser here!!! A couple of real studs.

SamDad Depends on the reason they changed addresses. Does make me wonder though? It could be for ligitimate reasons. It is hard to really tell. I can assure you of one thing. Suttle recruiting is taking place. Hell ! The private schools can pull kids from wherever they want. Is that recruiting? You tell me. Repectfully Oscar
