    Don't think it's debatable . The Al Smith featured 6 top 10 (4A)teams compared to 3 for EMD . The Al smith also featured (3A) #2,#5,#9 and #10 , (2A) #1 ,#3 and #5 , (1A) #5. I would bet Crown Point and Center Grove are better than any team at EMD .

    As I said earlier, very impressive win by West Central . I would pick Rochester in a rematch if it were to happen . I think it will be Rochester vs Adams Central for all the marbles .

    Impressive win by West Central any way you look at it . Rochester is a solid team with a win over defending 3A champ Mishawaka.

    Looks like it could be a rough day for Snider . Don't know much about Columbus North , but I don't see them beating Penn, Mishawaka or New Pal .

    MD leapfrogging Penn and Perry Meridian is also interesting . I guess you can take a bad loss and move up in the rankings ?

    Don't think he ever said last years Ironman was easy , as none ever have been . He's simply saying this years was tougher . Anytime quality teams or individuals are added to a tournament , it is going to be tougher to win/place .

    Even before this result , Huyvaert is my early pick to win a title .

    And it's looking more like Brownsburg may beat CP in a dual and IHSAA scoring this year . Very hard for CP to replicate last years performance after losing 3 state champs and 2 3rd place finishers .

    I was thinking last year that it would be 2 years before BB would knock off CP . I agree with you that it may happen this year . Both teams are loaded, will be well worth the price of admission to see this dual .

    I'm not all into rankings , but I think Individual rankings most of the time are more accurate than team rankings . Early in the season most individual rankings are based off last years accomplishments . If your a freshman then it's probably based off middle school/national tournament success . I think early in the season , it is very hard to rank teams accurately . The number of ranked wrestlers plays a large role , but just as large are the wrestlers that are not ranked . Are all your non ranked wrestlers just outside the top 20 or are most of them way outside the top 20 . This is something most of us can't possibly know for each team ranked 3-10 . Teams like CP,BB and CG , almost their entire teams are ranked , so this doesn't apply to them . The only thing I'm looking at is Penn has 6 ranked wrestlers compared to 5 for MD , 5 for Avon and 6 for WC . Do I think Penn is better than those 3 ? No , but it also doesn't mean those 3 are better than Penn . Hopefully it will all work itself out during the season .

    And why is that ? Are you speculating that Avon and MD are better ? They could be but we don't know that as of now . Please provide some sort of data that supports your opinion .

    I agree on the Penn vs Carmel match , I don't know the score . I too can't understand why the results are not posted . Yes Penn does have a 106 . As far as the rankings , apparently Penn has some ranked wrestlers that you feel should not be ranked ? Rankings are opinions , just like you putting WC, Cathedral and EMD in front of Penn . How do you know these teams would beat Penn this year . The simple answer is that you don't , it is just your opinion/speculation .

    Curious as to why you have Perry Meridian in front of Penn . Penn has more ranked wrestlers as well as higher ranked wrestlers than PM . I think after CP,BB and CG it's a toss up between the next 5 teams.

    I believe they have 3 #1 ranked wrestlers . No way in hell CP shuts out Center Grove . CP is good but not that good .
