  1. MD....the "Boots" and the spladle
  2. Wasn't Clark (Jeff) #1 for awhile at heavy?! What made him drop?
  3. sorry nutsdad, i didnt know. thats what i was trying to emphasize by the parenthesis. i wasn't sure.
  4. 125 should be a fun one to seed. North has beaten Reitz. Reitz (im sure) beat Harrison. Then Harrison beat North. WOW...good luck guys.
  5. Thanks Y2 and Jon. I was curious as to how Y2 was in So. IN for this one. PS I called 36-17 for MD........off by 8 pts total. Congrats to another well wrestled west side rivalry
  6. I thought I heard MD did not have all their regulars at the classic. Is that Johns vs Moll last year? State place winner vs SQ...just another big match that this dual meet presents for the fans! Tick tick tick....its getting cloosseerrrr!!!
  7. MD guys getting tech'd and pinned?! How much have you watched MD over the last 15 years? Granted Reitz got two majors last year....BUT MD gave up ZERO falls and ZERO techs. This strategy is also how they win duals meets @ Center Grove.
  8. Rumor has it Simms had some issues cutting weight at their dual meet last week. I heard he fainted between matches. Any truth to this from those in the "know"? I DONT KNOW THE WHOLE STORY AND I"M NOT SAYING THIS IS FACT.
  9. lol ok thanks for the vote of confidence. and also thanks for the explanation, i was perplexed to say the least.
  10. What is this? And how do you gain/lose them? ???
  11. Both teams have some flexibility in their line-ups which could throw some wrenches into the plans. If the line-ups stay as is, here's what I got..... 103 R maj 112 MD dec * 119 R maj 125 MD dec * 130 MD dec* 135 MD fall 140 MD maj * 145 MD maj 152 R dec 160 MD maj 171 R dec * 189 R dec 215 MD dec* 285 MD fall I think thats puts the dual meet score at 36-17 MD. The * matches are swing matches that are good matchups and will go to who shows up for 6 mins. MD has flip-flopped Lannert and Appel, but Reitz could answer by bumping up in some places. 140 is an asterick because of the Simms saga...will he or Maruer wrestle? 215 because Kercher is the favorite, but as of late Wimp has looked better IMO. If the lower weight swings go Reitz's way, I see the score closer to 27-26 still for MD.
  12. Where is Powless for IU? I heard he might crack the line up this year?!
  13. The same can be said about any ranked team....not just the state champs. If it's based off of last year's state champs then Evansville has been tops throughout (Bloomington South in the early years and MD for almost 2 decades). I think a more interesting "theme" to look at is the different styles that come out of each SS. I see Merrillville as having the more "flashy" styles. Most of their quali's are slick on their feet and have high octane offense. Being from So. IN I feel the Evansville SS advances more blue collar wrestlers. They are not experts at any one area, but are tough and all around hard working kids. Just a thought.......
  14. Is some one complaining about rankings? Don't we all agree that the only rankings that matter are the ones at Conseco or Center Grove? I for one like not having my team ranked....we remain the "hunter" and not the "hunted". Use is as fuel for your teams fire Y2, you of all people know that.
  15. I see Bloom North's Heavy is the #1 seed. Didnt know he had a loss. Who did he lose to?
  16. I don't have it, but the rotation is decided during the week. No drawing, but they also don't release it to the public until tonight.
  17. Love this tourney....great test of a team & its dual meet potential. Also like the flavor of 2 of KY's top teams in this event. I see Reitz as the favorite. They are young, but solid.
  18. Perhaps this is why Trinity is constantly a top 3 team in KY....way to seek out excellent competition Trinity. Got to admire a coaching staff that tests their abilities like this. Good luck to the KY boys in green from an IN fan....
  19. Team competition will be between Memorial and Martinsville....I think Memorial lsot some guns this year, but they are still in good enough shape to win it. I don't think Wedding will be back at 160....if he does he'll be missing an arm lol
  20. I see Cornell is in this...is McGill getting any varsity time?
