  1. And how the heck does McGee get a 4 seed at 133 with 10 losses? Mendez a 14 ????
  2. But yes I don't understand the seeding at 197, 285 or 184. Whole lotta loco going on.
  3. Silas is red-hot and has confidence. If he gets past Dean, he will be the champ.
  4. The most "wide-open" and "Deep" class this year amongst the 10 classes, atleast 8-10 guys have a real legitimate shot at the title. Is Silas peaking at the right time? Is Bow and Arrow Dean gonna win 2-1 all weekend? Nino Bonacorssi? Rocky Elam? How bout Michael Beard who got kicked to the curb by PSU? Yonger Batisda is very athletic and exciting. Will Cal Poly get Truax to do what hasn't been done before? Again this is a wide open weight and this Hoosier is pulling for Silas no matter the seeds.
  5. We all slept on Silas Allred, man he's fun to watch. I didn't think anyone could out boring Dean at his game, but Silas wrestled Silases game. That's the difference.
  6. I was really impressed with the Nebraska and Minnesota teams. Parity in the BiG Tens is happening and these teams have some real hammers. Obviously I'm elated we have two home grown champs in Silas Allred and Mason Parris, I hope they continue forward to a couple titles in two weeks. Silas was the aggressor against an otherwise boring grappler, and it paid off. Dean is notorious for winning 2-1 matches with Rideout's. Mason may be the smartest wrestler in the NCAAs and a coaches dream. His mat awareness and gameplans have really shown this year.
  7. My Favorite match of the day! Couldn't happen to a more deserving young man.
  8. I think IU gets 5 to qualify, those three plus Porter and Gilcher, love to see the younger Rooks get in, but that's a tough weight.
  9. Post your predictions. Or pick apart mine... 125 - Lee(all pins) Iowa 133- RBY PSU 141 - Bartlett PSU(Upset over Woods) 149 - Sasso OSU 157 - Robb Nebraska 165 - Hamiti Wisconsin 174 - Starocci PSU 184 - Brooks PSU 197 - Dean PSU 285 - Kerkvliet PSU( Mason gets him at NCAAs) Team - PSU, Iowa, Neb
  10. He certainly was fun to watch, despite the worst singlet in the Finals.
  11. No doubt she's a tough out for the boys. Her star will keep rising. She's only a sophomore.
  12. I said "potential". DJ is an enigma, he's capable of beating a top 5 or sadly losing in the the opening round.
  13. Purdue will finish ahead of IU at the NCAAs, they have 3 potential AAs. IU only has one. I like both programs, and wish them both well.
  14. There were a few calling for Erslands head on a separate post. I think, personally that IU and PU are on the same trajectory. It's hard when the top in-state talent goes to PSU,MU and OSU but Angel and Tony are building fighters. That will pay off.
  15. Believe Disco said Mid-Tier previous...and for a habitual bottom feeder, that is progress. I'll take it and hope IU can build on it. It's hard to crack the top 3 in the B1G with such storied programs, so I'll take a winning record and hopefully 1 or 2 AAs
  16. Cassioppi is learning after getting beat a few times, Mason has a smart wrestling IQ.
  17. IU was very game tonight. This was a tough duel on paper for IU. The team is making progress and that doesn't happen overnight. I'm proud of what Angel is doing and especially the kids.
  18. That's likely the dumbest post I've read today. This is a high school wrestling forum. At no point should politics come into play on this site. To state such, only cements how youve been programmed by propaganda. Focus on the kids and the great sport of wrestling.
  19. Seriously? WTH? I'd hate to be defined by or calling out a legend of wrasslin' cuz of stupid politics. Mick is a good dude that put his awkward body on the line every night to please fans like you, just so you can bring up politics on a HS Wrestling Forum Mick is a legend. You?
  20. IU is improving. Be nice if IU could keep top talent. But Angel is doing his best with what doesn't stray. I'm just being realistic, I wish I were wrong but, let's face it, outside Maryland, iU hasn't developed national caliber athletes since Mike Mena was an assistant.
  21. Gable Steveson. Hoosier up until he moved up North Eh after 8th grade. I think we all know his credentials.
