What a huge turnaround for the IU program! If I remember correctly IU lost to Chattanooga last year and this Chattanooga team added some big transfers this past offseason. I wonder if any other program in the country had a bigger turn around than the Hoosiers; 3-8 last season to being 8-5 and ranked in the top 25 dual teams in the country. Hopefully they can capitalize on this momentum and capture an all-American.

Disco not sure how you can’t consider Indiana a mid tier team in this conference at this point whether they lose to MSU or not. They have 3 big ten wins and defeated Rutgers who has been considered a mid tier program. I would venture to say this is the toughest the big ten has been top to bottom in a long time if ever. The bottom teams in the Big Ten can beat 80 percent of teams in other conferences. Given where IU has been in the past decade I’m enjoying this ride and I’m hoping Purdue can turn things around! MSU is a bad match up for IU in my opinion.

Disco has this season changed your mind or are you still thinking the program is stagnant? I personally thought you were on to something before the season but my mind has changed. The team is exciting to watch and they keep proving people wrong. Nice to see Indiana getting national recognition, I’m hoping Purdue can turn things around quick.

Wow I didn’t think Indiana would pull off that upset on Maryland. Maybe now the coaches, athletes, and program can get some respect. Seems like they are doing something right in Bloomington, lets see how long it can last.

I thought Indiana Wrestled well last night winning 4 matches. Indiana has a long way to go but they are making big improvements this season. If you look at the top recruiting classes Ohio State has brought in for the last 6 years on paper they should have shut Indiana out. I wonder if the coaching staff can keep developing their guys this season or will Indiana underperform? What do you guys think success looks like for this program and for Purdue realistically? The big ten is loaded it’s hard for those two programs to compete with the big dogs.

Please elaborate. Purdue has way more resources than IU does. They make more money with their football program and have less sports. Plus tuition for Purdue is way cheaper than IU so scholarship wise they can recruit a lot more kids.

Before the season there was all this hate about the IU program and how they weren’t getting better under this staff. Where is that same logic for Purdue and their staff? They lost to Rider and Drexel this season and Ersland has been there for 8 plus seasons with multiple top 25 recruiting classes.

Purdue Lost to Rider and Drexel this season, I’m pretty sure they will be winless this season in the big ten. IU killed Drexel this season.
