What date is this tournament? and does wrestling still start at 9am?
  2. The TEC may be considered a week conference in the state team wise because all of the teams are 2A, and are considered small schools. They have great team rivalries and a lot of good individuals. Chalfant and Duckworth, both #1 in the state at their weights are in the TEC.
  3. Ron Anderson of Winchester has to fall in here somewhere under the small school category. They are currently on like a 13-14 year county title streak, and are always a top team in the TEC...He coached there for as long as i can remember before retiring two years, his legacy will last at that school for years to come. Billy Hagaar of Randolph Southern has also had some very outstanding individuals for Randolph Southern which is a school of about 200 from 9-12. I personally went through that program, and it is great for such a small school. When i was in elementary school we had a good freestyle program coached by parentsthat really got kids ready, but Billy brought a totally different attitude to that program. Had two state placers and another qualifier, has had numerous semi qualifiers, and coached two current college wrestlers. He is very hands on, and pushes all the kids in that room as far as they can go. I remember when Billy, weighing around 135 pounds could go toe to toe in the room with current purdue wrestler Jason Martin, who at the time was wrestling 160. The program has been down in numbers as of late, but that has to be expected with such a small school
  4. This board is by far superior than the old board. I've been following the board for about four years now, and am glad to see all the regulars here on this board...the other board has to be hurting
  5. Larimore was an absolute beast at 285! Runner Up to Kasten, then a champ the next year...not sure if he is the best, but he deserves consideration
  6. Little Martin, you need to get off the message board and back in the room, 145?
  7. Who else wrestles at the Union City super six? I know in the past Randolph Southern has been there, so has daleville and hagerstown
  8. Any good TEC matchups this week? Where is everyone going to be on saturday? Come on TEC fans, lets here it.

Chalfant will win heavyweight...Fordrea from winchester will be solid at 215. Josh Martin from Randolph Southern is trying to make 135, but may be at 140 for this tournament, and even though i am a little biased, i think he has a very good chance at winning this weight, especially since his older brother will be home from purdue that week to toughen him up..haha

I know Winchester and Union City is in it too. Not 100% sure, but i also believe zionsville is in it.
  11. I know that winchester and union city were in it all four years i wrestled there...
  12. I can respect that snatch, it is just that I have been reading and writing on the forum for at least three years, and you never seem to be in their favor. Even though I haven't seen WC wrestle this year, I still believe they are the top team in the TEC. They have had a solid team for years, and with former wrestles of the program behind the wheel, they will only get better. Mock and Jones were both great wrestlers for WC, and they have that program to top notch. Chalfant will be the state champ at 285, and Fodrea will be solid at 215, especially with big 'ol Mock going round and round with them every day....Even if their lower weights aren't as tough, Jones will have those small guys ready to compete, he wasn't too shabby himself. Good luck to all TEC wrestlers this year, should be some good matchup with Tri, WC, and Union Co, Centerville
  13. Snatch, how do you not have something against winchester. Your post was something like, i thought tri would beat winchester but winchester won, but yet winchester didn't impress you because they were weak from 112-171, and then again you were really impressed with tri, even though they got it handed to them. How is Winchester so weak from 112-171 if they beat tri, who is according to you, a top TEC team? Three weights don't win an entire match. What do you have against winchester?
  14. Well i graduated high school weighing around 210, even though i wrestled heavyweight my senior year. So i went away to college and put on a few pounds. Over christmas break my freshman year i went to watch my old school at the ECIC, and my high school coach said it looked like i put on a few pounds and i needed to start working out again, and out of the crowd one of the parents of a wrestler on the team said, "yeah, and those 12oz curls don't count."
  15. Come on TEC, we need to get more posts here. On the old site we were one of the top threads!
  16. Jason Martin Randolph Southern '05 Redshirt Junior for Purdue
  17. Fodrea is at 215? He must be eating his wheaties. Why isn't the other chalfant wrestling?
  18. Winchester is going to be tough this year, I wrestled them in middle school and all through high school. Ron Anderson built an amazing program for a relatively small school, and though he is missed, the current coaches are doing great things with that program.. Chalfant will be state champ at 285!
  19. I agree with everyone. Being away at college, it is hard to keep up, the discussion board was the only way i could keep up. Thanks Y2
